USH Transformers Grand Opening Date. Plus, Soft Opening Info.

I know. I visited Universal today and got news that there is indeed a scheduled soft opening tomorrow. A sign stating that Transformers is in "Technical Rehearsal mode" can also be seen right outside the Supply Vault with various other signs. There are also signs for Energon Station, a Transformers Water Station (don't know what that is, I guess thats the coolers they use in the summer), and a Grand Opening sign. But anyway, my sources have informed me that the time for the soft opening is not put in concrete.

Sounds Promising.....my friend and I are going around noon hoping to ride it a few times

During an employee preview yes, but when they open it up to the public they will be slightly more lenient for the queue area. I would assume that once guests are on the ride they'll say no video recording.

They did not tell us this. Everyone was taking pictures, and those pics are already online.

I think that will depend on the crowd. I pretty much plan on standing outside of the attraction with my Transformers G1 t-shirt all day until they let me ride haha.

Yep, thanks! The word will get out fast so Today and tomorrow would be the best bet to beat to crowds that will only grow from now until Summer when they will be oughta control. Come on out and ride - it's one of the best I've ever seen ANYWHERE, and this is coming from a jaded old Tram driver! ;-)

I will be heading out there momentarily. Hopefully it indeed true, I'm not traveling 35 miles one way and not get to ride it. LOL.

So if I get to ride it today, there is definitely no need for me to come back on AP preview day.

They were talking about having it open quite a lot in the next few weeks.

BTW: Only 1 breakdown last night that fixed within 5 minutes. My friends were on the ride, the sound stopped and the ride motion stopped, but they still moved through the whole ride.

They have, but keep in mind it could close at any time. These tech rehearsals are always a big gamble.

I have just left Universal. I was able to ride it 3 times today. I waited no more than 7 minutes for each of the time I went on the ride. Then at about 12:30 the line got very long at about 45 minutes.

I got motion sickness after the third ride.

It looks better without the glasses the 2nd time around.

I will be uploading some hd footage when I get home tonight.

Hi folks - I figured I'd been lurking long enough and should probably make an account...I recognize some of you from Inside Universal, too!

From what I hear the soft opening has been going well so far! I'm going on Saturday and probably skipping the tour for once (it's typically the first thing we do) to be first down to the lower lot when it opens. Anyone else going on Saturday?
