For me personally, Spiderman never beat Indiana Jones (given all its effects are running).
I don't know that for me Indy is better than Spidey, but it does remind me that generally I prefer real live animatronics to CGI. I do feel Harry Potter in combining the movie effects with animatronic characters make it a step above Spidey. That said, I am very much looking forward to Transformers, I'm sure it's going to be great.

I have not been to Universal Orlando since Potter opened but I have been there a few times to ride Spider-Man ... One of my all time favorite rides. I'm really looking forward to Transformers, and finally having this type of attraction in So Cal.

To suggest Indy is better from animatronics gives too much credit for the lack of execution in this area. Skeletons and snakes? Give me a break. Poorly done. Indiana Jones? Looks fine in a few areas. Bugs, Darts, Mice? They are video projections. Indiana Jones don't have much WOW except for the boulder rock ending. Spiderman was WOWing from beginning to end. I admit the practical effects are almost non-existent, but it isn't necessary since you're eyes are focused on the 3D movie; however, it seems to integrate nicely to the vehicle, which played a big part of the show.
In Indy, the vehicle moved around a lot and it didn't seem to integrate with the show well. It seems to be the show, which is an excuse for not having much of a show.

From our managers - the soft opening will now be Thursday April 19th, the day after the Employee Preview. The lower lot will be opening early at 8am for the weekend also. We have been told to expect 20,000+ on Saturday.

^Did he say if Transformers would be soft-opened all day Thursday or just the afternoon?
re: Transformer's The Ride 3D - MiceChat Reviews & Guide
They are shooting for Thursday morning if all goes according to plan.

Yup, the Genie is coming out of the bottle at USH on Thursday.

Is it necessary to have seen the movies to understand this ride? Because I've only seen two of the movies (first and third).

The story line was created just for the attraction, so no.

And the queue video explains everything to those who are unfamiliar to the Transformers world.

Our schedules have been changed before at the last minute so don't hold on too tightly to yours. At a ride capacity of 1800 per hour (baring breakdowns) the park hours could be extended to 11 hours for 20,000 guests, and 16 for 30,000. Get ready for a big Summer - bigger than Kong was!

Uni usually gives first priority to their Annual Pass member and this says we don't have access until May 4th..the RSVP page asks for your barcode and allows you to bring in one guest per barcode. It also asks you for the day and time period that you'd like to attend. Seems pretty elaborate to just be blown off...
