(Rumor) T2:3D to End it's Run at USH by the end of this Summer?

I have heard from inside sources that Terminator will end it run come this summer for another attraction to be ready by Summer 2013. I've heard it could be Despicable Me (Which is most likely but I hope not), a new Back to the Future attraction (Most interesting to me) or maybe something themed to the Matrix. While I will miss Terminator, this doesn't surprise me as the 3D looks crude in comparison to King Kong and Transformers. So what do you think is going to replace Terminator by the end of this Summer?

I agree. Terminator is just not a franchise that people can instantly recognize these days. I'd be sad to see it go, but change is good, especially for Universal.

I agree with everyone else....no way they'll replace one old movie with another...they want newer characters and despicable me fits....I can live with this...as much as i like the show...its been there a long time and needs replacing

I've heard that despicable me is replacing shrek. I love T2 and would hate it to go.

Its fun but I always felt like Shrek was more of a ten year attraction that you just keep around until the next bug thing...and here it is

But shrek will be the entrance to potterland and cutious george would be flight of the hippogriff so despicable me would have to go in T-2 3-D and so despicable me 2 would have a ride in the campain! I'll see despicable me and review it when it comes out

^thats a rumor but until I see a blue print....not sure if they will put Potterland there since...honestly there is more room on the other side of the (T2....animal actors, the whole Europe/western area, and flinstone area) is much larger and the fact that if they REALLY wanted to expanded the area they could on the hill

i am almost sure potter is going on the side with shrek gibson CG and Trams. In the orignal pressser for WWoHP they said they had land that had not been used for the park that WWoHP would be placed in...aka Gibson and the tram garage. I dont think they would plop that land dead in the center of the park when that area bottlenecks on a normal day

Terminator is such a HUGE building compared to Despicable. It will really suck if they waste the space to do this but Universal apparently wants to get rid of T2 since its costing them a lot to run it. I could see another mild refurb addition like BttF to Simpsons, but still...

Despicable Me is the most likely scenario. If there was a new BTTF movie coming out or something then "maybe", but they aren't going to remove BTTF:The Ride and then 4 years later put in another attraction for the same franchise.

Shrek theater is most likely going to be used for Potter so that will be staying until that comes.

IF they want to bring BTTF back in some form they should re-purpose the Fast and Furious thing on the tram.

The T2 complex also houses two food service locations and a retail location.
