But USH can't really close a ride to fix something, because they only have a limited number of attractions. To take down JP means you lose 1/4 of the rides in the park. Instead they have to work on their rides while they operate. Not saying its good or bad, just a thought.

Has anyone gone on Jurassic Park & have had the whole entire raft to themselves? I DID!!! Back in 2006 at Universal Orlando. My first ride of the day right when the park opened. I sat in the front middle seat. Nobody else in the raft!!! A little scary by myself especially just before you know the trex is going to pop out & going up the steep raptor hill but I did fine!

Not really but I've ridden it with just me and a friend once.

Re: Jurassic Park Refurb, taking a bit too long?

    Yes I have.

I went to Universal a couple years ago on a boring Sunday with nothing to do, and it was one of those days where they're open late, but nobody really stays that late. So JP was practically dead and I rode... in the dark... with just me and no one else. It was interesting to say the least. The scariest part was actually seeing an operator chilling around in the floor space next to the big drop, which threw me off.

I love to have a boat to myself in JP! What was an operator doing in that area next to the drop?

Re: Jurassic Park Refurb, taking a bit too long?

I am going to Universal Orlando in July-7/3 & 7/4 & I'll go to Jurassic Park first thing. The parks open at 8. Do you think if I go right at opening there will be no line so I'll have the boat to myself again? & Do Dudley & Popeye have no waits even on packed days first thing in the morning? When do the water rides get long lines like starting at Noon? Or do they stay long from 8am on? & The parks close at 10. What's the latest I can get on a ride like lets say Jurassic Park?
