Universal Studios Announces Silent Hill Maze for annual Halloween Horror Nights 2012
Universal Studios has just announced (at San Diego's Comic-Con) the first maze for the 2012 Halloween Horror nights event. Silent Hill will be a new, terrifying descent into the supernatural, ghostly town. Based on the upcoming Fall release from Sony Pictures, the new maze will feature key scenes from Silent Hill: Revelation 3D and put visitors into the movies like only Universal Halloween Horror Nights can. Different versions of the maze will be at both Universal Studios Hollywood, and Universal Orlando.
No real news has been given about the maze itself or the location. But our educated guess is that it will be in the Terminator 2 queue. The space, that has been occupied by the House of 1000 corpses the two previous years, is an odd configuration that Uni always seems to use well.
The current construction in that area is using up even more space than the previous maze did. Decaying plaster and slats may already be an indication of what will be going in this spot.
The Albert Fish reference is a leftover from the Corpses maze and will be painted over
Well, this should make all you Horror Night and Silent Hill fans very happy. What say you?!

One million times yes. AND it's based on the games? I know which attraction I'll be headed to first.

Isn't there use to be a Silent Hill maze located in Brea not far from Disneyland next to Brea Mall? I believe so.
I hope there will be some more new mazes coming soon. I hope "The Thing" maze doesn't come back this year. That maze sucks big time not very detailed.
I also hope that there will have a new show offering in addition to Bill and Ted's.
I remembered back in 2006 there were a lot of shows to see like SlaugherWorld, Magic, Chucky Insult.
Now there's only one show for the past few years and that is Bill and Ted. If they offer more show, it will mean LESS LINES TO WAIT IN FOR MAZE.

I am so happy for this... I loved the games.. and since the movie features my favorite Silent Hill character Heather from Silent Hill 3, something tells me they will really go all out to bring some of the best from Silent Hill 3 into the maze... Like Nurses, the paradox world that Heather unleashes from her head, and hopefully they incorporate that demon fetus thing she spits out at the end of the game.
I know Pyramid head is not in Silent Hill 3, but the press release said they are incorporating other stuff from the Silent Hill universe so if they have a pyramid head in the maze I will be epically pleased and will be geeking out hardcore (in addition to being scared)

Yes they did! I went and it was pretty cool. Lots of scenes I recognized from the games and a killer Pyramid Head.

Per John Murdy, Silent Hill is going in the Mummy extended queue.

I'm so excited for this.
Though after last year, I hope for more news as exciting as this one to get me to visit again this year.

Well the maze itself didn't scare me at all, I thought the detail was really good.

Which leaves the Terminator queue unknown. I'm going to say that it'll be the Walking Dead maze that's been going round the rumour mill.

I'm kind of hoping they use the Pyramid Head design from the games rather than the movies.

It's a small design difference, but the extra sides on his helmet make him more intimidating, I think.
"There was a hole here. It's gone now."
