Today a small fire apparently broke out in the now closed Terminator 2 3D attraction at Universal studious Hollywood. The 3D movie theater attraction was closed on January 1st, 2013 to make way for a new attraction based on the Despicable Me franchise.
The Upper lot is closed from the Blues bros. stage on one end to the Animal Actors Stage on the other end. The only closure seems to be international cafe, baker street bathrooms and Mulligan's Pub.
In an official statement released at about 3pm PST, a representative from Universal confirmed that a small fire did occur inside the old Terminator 2 3D attraction building. By 2:30 in the afternoon the Los Angeles County Fire Department said that the small fire was out. There were no injuries and guests were no where near the incident. Park hours were not affected by the incident.
