I don't think there should be a Simpsons "land" at all. I don't think USH should be trying to do any sort of "land" thing at all. Potter is enough.
While I get why you'd want that.....as it is right now it's just all these small mixes that "I" don't think max that well the Flinstones, then a Pizza place, then a Mexican and chicken place and then the Simpsons ride....why not make this whole are max the other parts and also allow restaurants and other area's to be redone in a way that might help make getting food faster and allow more seating
Personally, I do not think that it should be a land, but they need to have a constant theme in the area. At the momnent, it is a hodgepodge of themes that do not work together.
That's the whole conceit of a studio park. Backlots are not organized in such a manner and unlike other studio parks that mostly or totally pretend to be a studio, Universal Studios Hollywood is still first and foremost a studio.
As I understand, the Backlot Tour was just about the only thing they had there aside from the studio production facilities. I had a VHS tape of the original Blues Brothers movie and I remember seeing an ad for the Backlot Tour at the end of the movie after the credits had rolled by. It said "Ask for Babs" at the bottom.
