    USH Baseball Field/Park set

When you are on the tram approaching the Mummys tomb, on your left up in the bushes you can see the back side of a house facade. I always wondered what it was.. so today I looked on google maps. It's somewhat a part of the Baseball field set, but it doesnt really fit in. I also noticed that there is another similar structure on the other side of the baseball diamond (near the right outfield).

here is the google map link:

Here is what the Studio Tour says about the site, but no mention of the houses.

Does anyone know their history/what they were used for?

Also, what used to be in that site before they built the ball park?

I don't know the complete history of that area but it was used for a while as employee parking. If you look at the fence that's around the area, the employee parking signs are still up. That area is slated to become a brand new overflow parking lot.

It was used as the soccer field for "Kicking and Screaming"

When I walked the backlot a few weeks ago, we walked the field. I can't find any pics right now, but I know I have them somewhere, i'll keep looking. For now, look here: the studiotour.com - Universal Studios Hollywood - Backlot

All I know is that Field of Dreams, Universal's most famous baseball movie, was filmed off site in Iowa. Or wherever they went, but not on-site. This is new to me.

I heard that some of the house sets are from leave it to beaver
The trams can't drive up there because of noise with the houses
Take a look at the theme park models I make at kolbykonnection.com

^I've also walked over to them. I had to stay back thought because they were filming something in the old Home and Family House.

i am not sure, but I will look around
The new Star Wars plot summery:

Episode 7: Luke discovers that Darth Vader is not his father, and goes on a search for his real father

Episode 8: Darth Vader is resurrected and goes on Jerry Springer, claiming he is Luke and Leia's father

Episode 9: Princes Leia is not Luke's sister, making him furious (we all know why...).
