Universal Boots Marvel!!? (Universal Hollywood)

So I was recently informed from a VERY reliable source that recently Marvel and Universal have split paths over licensing fees. Supposedly, Marvel wanted to triple the price for Universal to sell their stuff and have their characters in the park.

So as of December 31st, 2007, there are now 40 Universal Team Members out of a job. Way to ring in the new year, right?

Would they still have a liscence for the Islands of Adventure attractions? What would happen to Marvel-Island and the Spider-Man ride?

This only effects Universal Hollywood. As they have no attractions marvel related in that park they felt no need to keep paying the increasing licensing fees for it. Their license for IOA is a different one than this one.

Why would 40 people lose their jobs? There was no attraction. No Shows, etc.

The only things were the walk-around characters and I'm sure there are other things they could do.

But with the popularity of Marvel right now, I'm not buying it.

No really. There were people who were only portraying Marvel characters, and thus they are out of a job as of December 31. Buy it or not, it's true.
