I've been on pins and needles for this park to open. So far, it looks like an insurance company;s dream park. That's because it's impossible for anyone to risk being hurt in a park where there's absolutely nothing to do. I hope the coming virtual broomstick flight simulator ride makes up for it's stale beginning.

Like you, I am intrigued and entertained by the detailed theming. It's the lack of motion and interactive rides that I'm complaining about.

Is this sarcasm or a bout of insanity? I honestly can't tell. This land (it's not a park) has three rides, four shops, two street shows, an interactive show, a restaurant and a pub. That amounts to "absolutely nothing" in your eyes? Really?

Someone could probably spend the better part of a day just looking at all the little details in this area, which is fairly small itself. They couldn't have crammed anything more into this intimate space. Just look at how crowded it was with barely anyone there.

There's always someone... I cannot wait to go this June!

and about the lack of attractions and things to do-- there's more things to do in this single land than some Disney Parks (ala. WDSP). Dragon Challenge... Forbidden Journey... detailed shops and customised merchandise... Flight of the Hippogriph...

IMO, the sexiest part of the HPATFJ queue is the outdoor/switchbacks portion. im a sucker for switchbacks

I can easily imagine this misconception being rampant for anyone that hasn't been following the construction, etc.

My current concern is if they are going to allow the sideroom at Ollivander's to be accessed without having to wait for the "interactive show" in the main room because, from my understanding, not everyone is going to get the chance to have their wand choose them, and I'd hate for anyone to have to wait just to get a wand.

I think that part of Ollivander's may be fairly disappointing to some in the first place. That just seems like something that only a fraction of the guests that will go through WWoHP will get to experience (the interactive part).

Also, based on the video, even if the shop itself looks awesome, I think that Zonko's could have used better merchandise.

But I am still excited about the addition and am hoping to swing by the resort for a couple of days in August when I go to Dothan, Alabama to visit family.

    EDIT:

I'm also not a fan of the snow in Hogsmeade, but I'll have to wait until I see it for myself. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense insofar as the consistency of the area goes.

The only thing that's gonna be bad about WWoHP is the massive and insane crowds it will bring from opening in the heart of summertime.

I wouldn't be able to go until Sept/Oct anyway. Hopefully the crowds will die down by then.

I'm not bothered by the rides/attractions as I'm more in it for the theming and shops. It's gonna be absolutely amazing!!!!

It would've been cool if they had included the Shrieking Shack.

    Re: Wizarding World Video Tour

all that I want to see is the actual Forbidden Journey ride. The shops are nice and all, but I'm not too interested in those, and the other two rides in the land both are recycled rides from when the park didn't have the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Yeah.....a ride with a Kuka Arm and 2 roller coasters don't = motion????

Nothing like a bitter Disney fan to go all "wet blanket" on us.

What exactly are Disney's interactive rides besides Buzz and Toy Story Mania????

I'm pretty sure that he meant motion and interactivity in terms of things that give the area a sense of kinetics (ie, Tomorrowland, etc.)

Granted, I don't think that WWoHP needs kinetic motion, per se, but that is a valid criticism.
