Wizarding World Grand Opening Events

Amazing celebrity event on Wednesday night with the cast in attendance, John Williams directing a live orchestra, special lighting and imagery on the castle, and fireworks. Gave me chills to watch this video and made me long for the days when Disney made magic like this..........

The last MAJOR grand opening Disney had was for the opening of DLRP in 92. That was a spectacular grand opening.

Fantastic! Universal has really created something amazing with the Wizarding World and they deserve to have a great grand opening to go with it.

They have a huge hit on their hands. Something bigger than anything Disney has ever done in the US parks.

The animated Mickey walking around was just fine. WoC is just as show so the type of opening ceremony it got was well suited for its purpose. Fingers crossed that hopefully Disney does something creative with Star Tours 2!

That fireworks show behind the castle with projections on the castle building was simply fantastic. And they did it with a full live orchestra!!!

Disney just got schooled in the presentation department. Maybe they should start to realize we don't care much about watching bureaucrats marching around the stage..

Heh. What cracked me up was the local news said Warwick Davis wouldn't be there, yet I saw him plain as day in the live feed from this morning.

Reports are saying the line to get into the Wizarding World are stretching to the front of the park and is a 7+ hour wait. It must really be incredible. Can anyone recall the last time Disney had anything like this? They better step up their game soon.
