Aimster & Wonderpup's Epic Orlando Adventure Extravaganza-The Universal Bits

You can see the Disney bits here:
Aimster & Wonderpup's Epic Orlando Adventure Extravaganza-the Disney Bits

And the non-theme park bits here:
    http://micechat.com/forums/other-the...park-bits.html

Ok let's get on with it:
On Friday, I went to a concert at Hard Rock Live at City Walk. Who did I see? Crowded House!

They were REALLY good. I've been a fan of theirs since I was in junior high.

Obviously I had great seats... 5th row center!

Stay tuned for Islands of Adventure!

Okay onto day 3... Islands of Adventure!

First order of business? You guessed it...

The following were taken with my iPhone, so I apologize for the kind of icky quality.

The Mirror of the Erised (however you spell it)

The phoenix at the entrance to Dumbledor's office

    The pensive in Dumbledor's office

    Dumbledore

Harry, Ron & Hermonie in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom

The sorting Hat (very impressive AA)

And well, just as the ride started.... it stopped. You can see my photos from that in this thread:

    http://micechat.com/forums/universal...all-911-a.html

    Random Hogsmeade photos:

    Inside Zonko's

    ♪♫Comb-a, Comb-a, Comba-a, Comb-a, Coma-a-Chameleon♪♫

    Honeydukes

    The Three Broomsticks

    Hagrid's Hut

    Buckbeak!

I bought a wand at the Ollivander's cart that was in front of Flight of the Hippogriff (the line for the regular shop was at least an hour ALL DAY )

Stay tuned for photos of the rest of Islands of Adventure!

Re: Aimster & Wonderpup's Epic Orlando Adventure Extravaganza-The Universal Bits

    Ok more IOA fun!

    Lost Continent Entrance

    Mythos

Poseidon's Fury (hokey little show, but it has a few neat special effects)

    Seuss Landing

    Sneetches!

    On the Caro-Suess-eal

    Moo!

    I speak for the trees!

Lunch was at Confisco Grille, at the Port of Entry. Was pretty good. Since it was so hot, I wanted something light, so did the soup & salad combo. Was pretty good!

    Onto Marvel Superhero Island

    ♪♫Spider-Pup, Spider-Pup... Does whatever a Spider-Pup does♪♫

    Wolverine!

    HULK SMASH!

    Next up... Toon Lagoon!

Over on the bridge over the Popeye raft ride are these water cannons where you pop in a quarter and the shoot water at the raft as it passes by. I easily blew through $5 just doing that. Watch the tourists freak out from getting wet on a WATER RIDE.... yeah it does NOT get old.

Ripsaw Falls (they have water cannons there too, but didn't do those)

    Welcome.... to Jurassic Pup

    AHHH! Please don't eat me!

    SKLOOSH!

Back to Potterland for some more fun...

In the queue for Dragon Challenge:

One of the actual cars used in the Chamber of Secrets movie:

    The Tri-Wizard Cup

By 7pm, I just couldn't take it anymore. I had been in the park for 10 hours and I was just beat. So I headed out, stopped at the Fuddruckers at the Crossroads to pick up a burger to take back to the hotel and called it a night. OMG I hadn't had Fuddruckers in maybe 10 years. Forgot how good their burgers are, NOMS!!!!!

    THE END

That was my first visit to IOA since I think 2004, which was a brief run-through to ride Hulk and Dueling Dragons before going back to the Studios park for the Mardi Gras concert (Chic was playing & we had backstage passes).

Aimster, I'm so jealous you went to Fudruckers! We used to have one right down the street where I live and it was converted into a horrible "Authentic" Mexican Food place (which to me there are no good mexican places outside of So. Cal!)

Anyways, looks like the wonderpup had a blast!

Going back in October (the end), gonna take my kids to WWOHP for their birthdays, and make my annual 5hr drive for Wood and Wine Festival!

Re: Aimster & Wonderpup's Epic Orlando Adventure Extravaganza-The Universal Bits

We had a Fuddruckers in my hometown in Michigan. I loved going there, but it was on the other side of town, so I didn't go as often as I would have liked.

There used one in Tampa, but it closed several years ago and is now a Jason's Deli.
