Holy crap I didn't know the building was that big! The outside facade, even the queue, are pretty small in IOA. Pity, it really is an amazing ride; I wish they could find room for it in USH so I didn't have to go all the way to Orlando for it. It's unfair really, Orlando has the far, far superior to Hollywood's Universal but the overall weaker to Anaheim Disney parks, while Anaheim/SoCal has the better maintained, more bang-for-your-buck Disney resort, and poor little USH
Well the one thing Orlando Universal doesn't have going for it is the history of being a real working movie studio.
They set out to make nothing but rides and shows and even added a 2nd park to do that.
Universal Hollywood has so little space they had to get rid of a popular ride E.T. just to do it! I personally think Universal has too many shows and temporary attractions. They need to do some heavy remodeling and layout to figure out how to add more rides.
It's kinda funny that City Walk takes up a ton of space. If that all belonged to the theme park, there would be a ton of big rides for people to see.
That's Hollywood Universal's biggest and main draw: to see a real working movie studio. No, it's not the greatest but the tour lasts an hour and a half long... and includes Jaws and King Kong... which are separate attractions in Orlando.
Is there anyway to make spiderman two stories tall?
youknow I honestly wish they could make the whole top lot two stories I mean they could fit a TON more into that space with two stories and the park would be much more impressive it it resembled the two story City Walk rather then what it is now
course making it two story's would be expensive as hell and it'd have to be a sector by sector multiyear prodject
Well, let's think. Universal Orlando is more of a theme park and tourist destantion, while Universal Hollywood is more of a actual studio than theme park. So, Universal decides to put more money into the park that makes more money. If that doesn't make sense, then you're crazy. However, I would think it would be pretty sweet if USH got a Spiderman ride. That ride just plain rocks!
I just think for the sake of survival, Universal Hollywood will need to add some major attractions along the way.
Spider-Man would be ideal (since many feel that it is the best ride around) and maybe they will just have to be creative with how they utilize their land.
This new Harry Potter thing in Orlando shows that Universal is still committed to their theme parks so hopefully they will show Hollywood a little more love at some point.
Well we all know that the Simpsons is the next item coming to Universal Hollywood. I think putting any kind of Harry Potter also in this park would be a disservice to the property and probably something JK Rowling would not approve. Which is actually just fine. They'll spend more money in making IoA's Potter land ONE OF A KIND and that will be a draw for years to come.
Since most large theme parks are loud and USH is a working studio, I don't see how these two elements could go together. The last time I went was when the Mummy opened and I was disappointed. Anyways, I think USH is stuck with shows and less rides just due to the nature of the real working studio.
