Well, strangely enough for me, the only time I enjoy shopping is in theme parks. I hate shopping in malls.

It's possible, but I wouldn't count on it. It has to be rethemed for a Spring opening.

Re: Wizarding World of Harry Potter News...

Since RCT3 contains a robotic arm coaster I used that to create a flat ride that goes through a building (think Hogwarts) and uses that arm to place the rides in whatever room or area they want. This is just a quick job using Harry Potter pictures and posters and some spooky set pieces already contained within RCT3. I don't use custom scenery since it can cause problems withing RCT3 itself so think of this as my vision of a ride using the robotic arm type ride and what "Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey" may look like. Just my ideas. There is music with this video but it has been disabled by You Tube because I used actual Harry Potter music.

Only 260 mil spent between Simpsons and all of HP land including up front fees.

The Simpsons ride wasn't terribly expensive to make, because they used the infrastructure of the BTTF ride.

Lets revisit this conversation when we hear how much ST2 will cost Disney and how cheap it was to make because they reused the infrastructure of ST1

While the ride system was reused, everything was reskinned, redone, and a new movie was made too. I bet it cost in the neighborhood of 10-30mil easy to redo.

I don't know why Islands get a bad rep. Spiderman is easily one of the best rides ever. EASILY. Superior to even most of the best Disney quality attractions in theme. The ride is like nothing else, nothing else compares.

I hope Harry offers a little thrill. Something Spiderman lacks is real thrill, although simulated thrill is okay lol

10-30 million for a new attraction is cheap, by today's standards. Lots of new theme park attractions cost over $100 million when they are built from scratch.

Re: Wizarding World of Harry Potter News...

Attraction Magazine uploaded a video of the current state of construction of WWoHP, and one of the things I find strange is that you can see the peak of Hogwarts clear as day from within the Jurassic Park area. I hope they plant more trees as a result of this.

Re: Wizarding World of Harry Potter News...

They'll obviously have to replace all the trees that were taken out in the immediate vicinity of the castle once it's finished. That whole deforested look doesn't exactly work for JP. They might try to plant some taller, strategically placed trees to hide Hogwarts from farther reaches of the park, but honestly, they're probably not too concerned about that. Besides, it wouldn't be the only castle that can be seen from other areas of its respective park.

It's a clone of Disneyland/MK. Hogsmead is Main Street complete with a castle at the end of it. So it's based on Harry Potter -- big deal.

Wizarding World is not a clone of Disneyland. Get real.
