My bet is on Freddy. Since the Elm Street remake just came out, it would be smart to tie a maze to it.

The New Line deal is still up. The catch is, however, that if one of the NL characters are used they have to use all three of them. Because so many people have been burned out on the big three from '08 I seriously doubt that.

Plus keep in mind the maze theme he wrote was THIRTY pages long. I don't think he would spend that long on a maze that wouldn't be entirely different from '08 (Except the way Freddy looks of course.)

Do you guys know of any horror movie that has teens in it?

For the record, here are the list of hints Murdy has given on Twitter about his mazes:

Maze #1: "It's movie based." "Scream, stab, stab, chop, scream, stab, gurgle, plop." We all thought at first on the Vault it was Scream. Turns out Murdy openly stated it's not.

Maze #2: "Original take" "It had its origins in literature. There were several movies off of it." My assumption is either an original take on Frankenstein or some maze based on the dark side of Alice In Wonderland. That would make sense since there was an Alice movie that came out two months ago.

Maze #3: "It's bloody...VERY bloody." That's literally all he said about this maze. I'm guessing it's the Wolfman because if you were in his shoes and YOU had to give a hint on what it was if it is indeed the WM, how could you do it without being obvious?

Maze #4: "It's bloody, people die, there's a killer, oh and it involves teens." Maybe it is Elm Street. I still have doubts about it because of that whole contract deal. I heard of a movie that's coming out October called, My Soul to Take. It's directed by Wes Craven who created Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream. Plus it's a Universal movie! If you read the general plot on what the story is on IMDb, it has teens in it.

So far that's four mazes which I assume excludes House of Horrors. After he said he wrote the fourth maze he said that he finished another one. I guess that implies he still has more to do so I'd count on six this year people. SIX. Plus the Terror Tram will expand so this is going to be a GREAT year this year! I can tell!

    Maze #2 = Dracula

Think about it. Classic literature? It has to be either Dracula or Frankenstein.

HHN NEWS - Nightmare on Elm Street confirmed NOT to show up at HHN 2010.

Someone on the FB page wrote on the fan wall stating that he/she just got a job interview there and was told by someone who works there that Freddy would NOT show up this year.

I didn't think so. So what other big horror movies has teens in it besides F13, TCM, NOES, Halloween, or MBV?

I don't think that FB post is very reliable! But that's just me.

I hope to god not. I didn't like the saw one last year. I think they need to up the back lot tour cause that is the weakest part of horror nights. They should do a zombie thing on the front lot with all the city facades. Just please no fake Nightmare movie theme.

Terror Tram is usually in my top 3 favorites things to do at HHN.
In 08, it was by far the most stunning thing ever when Freddy ruled the WOTW sets. By far, my favorite TT year.

Well Murdy just posted on Twitter saying that the event will have mostly movie-based stuff but one original theme. Interesting....

Glad to know that is official!
After months of speculating and debating on whether or not it should, we finally get something original at the event after 3 years of just movie tie ins. This should be an interesting year at HHN!
(Hopefully he just doesn't mean the TT will have an invented icon or something, haha)

Maybe he's just working on them as ideas and then they battle it out for which is the best 4. I don't know, just a possibility. Because they ALL can't be golden, right?

Well if that was the case I don't think he would post anything like that on Twitter. I thought for sure he would stop at the fourth one since a lot of people would figure out House of Horrors + four mazes = five. Now that he posted five updates, I figure we're getting six. If he posted five maze updates I think people would be reeeeeally pissed if they found out that only four are coming. I seriously doubt that's the case since people have demanded more mazes for quite awhile. But from what I'm seeing, I'd count on six this year. I think I heard somewhere that the Terror Tram will be expanded. Six mazes + longer Terror Tram = sick, SICK year! I think this is going to be our best year yet!
