MACAU DAILY TIMES - Government eyes theme parks for economic diversification
“What we lack now is a theme park - maybe we could have some kind of policy inclination to encourage and support the city to have its own theme park,” Macau chief executive Chui Sai-On said, without elaborating on the number of theme parks Macau ‘needed’, or what kinds of theme parks he was envisioning - such as established brand names like Disneyland and Universal Studios, or newly created ones.
Most likely it will be Universal Studios, as Disney tends not to involve itself with casinos. Also because HKDL is just in nearby Hong Kong.
