what they are lacking is a War of the Worlds ride... it would be similar to Terminator 2 3d.... instead of the robots rising out like in Terminator, the Tri pods would come out and then so on with the movie;)
Is this happenning to both USH and USF?
Either way, I never go it at either place anymore, it just makes me too sick!
From what I read only at USF as of now.Quote:

No Problem. I guess Universal wants to get rid of BTTF because the movie is older and not many of the kids know what it is. Hopefully something worth it goes into there.
This rumor is currently ONLY about Universal Studios Florida.
It had a good run. I just don't know about the Simpsons though. I love the Simpsons but after 17 seasons soon 18 is it too late? I guess they figure with the movie it will help carry the ride. Time will tell, that is pressuming this isn't a rumor.
well, I doubt the one at USH would close... it is a massive show building, I do hope it is updated though, not closed... I love that ride, oh and add more surrounding efects such as strobe efects etc. and make the scenes more realistic, also has anyone spotted the huge coffee mug behind the courthouse on the ride?
Yeah, they wouldn't tear the bldg down, just re-do the ride for the new show. They said that way back when it opened. It was designed so they could easily replace the ride vehicles with others, re-program the hydraulics, change the movie and scenery and an instant new ride! (of course at a cost...).
That thought crossed my mind too. It only mentioned the Florida one. I personally don't like the ride, since I seem to get a headache every time I ride it.
they have not "officially" announced it for ush, but most of us are under the impression that it will be going the way of the doe-doe. ;)
they will not update it. ush cannot have spiderman in the park because ush is not zoned to be a theme park. ie - no huge rides. the neighbors in toluca lake have a problem as it is with the stuff that goes on here. if we were zoned as a "theme" park, then it would happen. but seeing as that we have a HUGE noise regulation issue, there's no way a cool roller coaster will happen. i mean, look at the mummy. that's indoors.
the only way they could pull off a roller coaster would be to do the coaster indoors as well. but then again, what about where the wild wild west stunt show is? but that is :ot:
hope this helps.
NOOOOOO!!!! I haven't rode this since I was six, but I have such good memories of it! I was going to go to Universal next year, but I hope it's still there. Since Universal is not affiliated with The Simpsons in any way, I find this rumor hard to believe, though.
The Spiderman ride is not a roller coaster it is an indoor 3-D ride. Neighbors could not complain about noise from this type of ride since there is nothing to hear even if you are standing right in front of it at the park.
