Re: What NBC Universal Property can help Universal Studios?
Another thing about movies being used in a movie theme park like Universal is atmosphere music. You listen to JAWS, Backdraft, Back to the Future, E.T., Jurassic Park, Mummy, Waterworld, etc and you can recognize where it's from. So they should keep in mind of that. The recent Zorro films have a good music theme. I really liked Van Helsing's music, wish they just play the music from it in front of Universal's House of Horrors. Now with The Simpsons, many people know its theme song.
They should at least have t-shirts for Waterworld. It's a great stunt show, but because of its bad rep, Universal probably doesn't want to merchandise too much into it.

Zorro's score is by James Horner, and those films are owned by Sony, not Universal.
Not sure how that works but I'm sure they would need to pay a licensing fee just like any other company.
Re: What NBC Universal Property can help Universal Studios?
Just thought I'd bring this up but NBC, Universal, Sci Fi, Bravo, USA, Telemundo are all under the same company. So anything from those television stations can have possible ideas for attractions.
Re: What NBC Universal Property can help Universal Studios?
^ That's partly what I meant also. Telemundo has a new Zorro show running now. The Zorro CHARACTER is not owned by Sony. Disney used Zorro before. I think that's the same situtation that was going on with Van Helsing. Stargate has pretty good theme music. Yeah, yeah, yeah... part MGM/Sony and not entirely Sci-Fi/NBC Universal... whatever. And yeah, there's some kind of Stargate attraction coming soon at some theme park too, blah blah blah.
EDIT: Dragonheart. There. That's a Universal picture with good music. And I think clips are shown in the SFX Stages show.

not exactly, as it depends who does the shows, but yes. remember, they do advertise their shows at the parks, if the show is popular enough why not expand on it. they could make it into a Enhanced vehicle or simulator which could be reprogrammed in about 6 months to a year if they loose the show or the popularity fades enough, then market the attraction to other parks!

What NBC Universal show or film would make a great Universal Studios attraction?
When i look at the roster that's at the park, it's just so incredibly varied, with attractions and shows from OTHER studios. Seems odd for something like that since studios are so competitive.
Here's a look at Universal Studios Hollywood's attractions:
-Studio Tour -- includes visit to Jaws, King Kong, Fast & the Furious, Mummy, Earthquake, War of the Worlds (paramount), Desperate Housewives (disney), others.
-Revenge of the Mummy Ride
-Shrek 4D (dreamworks)
-Jurassic Park River Adventure
-Fear Factor Live
-Terminator 2 3D (studio canal)
-Water World
-Nickelodeon Blast Zone (paramount)
-Back to the Future ride
-Special Effects Stages
-Universal's Animal Actors
-Backdraft
Universal Studios Japan
-Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man ride (marvel)
-Terminator 2:3D (studio canal)
-Hollywood Dream: The Ride
-Shrek 4D (dreamworks)
-Sesame Street 4D Movie Magic (sesame workshop)
-Universal Monsters Rock and Roll show
-Animation Celebration w/ Woody Woodpecker
-E.T. Adventure
-Back to the Future Ride
-Backdraft
-Jurassic Park ride
-Snoopy's Sound Stage Adventure (united feature syndicate)
-Snoopy's Playland (united feature syndicate)
-Water World
-Jaws
-Peter Pan's Neverland show
-Wicked musical
-Toto & Friends animal show (mgm)
-Hello Kitty show (sanrio)
ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE - ORLANDO
-Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man (marvel)
-Hulk Coaster (marvel ... the movie is Universal at least)
-Dr. Doom's Fearfall (marvel)
-Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls (not universal)
-Popey & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges (not universal)
-Jurassic Park
-Dueling Dragons coaster
-Eighth Voyage of Sinbad
-Poseidon's Fury
-Everything in Seuss Landing (seuss)
Anyway you all get the point. And now Simpsons is going to join in on the Universal experience... though it's very 20th Century Fox.
So are there any Universal films that you all can think of that would make for a great attraction?
I'm thinking that they could do something with Battlestar Galactica, since that's a huge hit for them. But I'm having trouble thinking of anything else. All the obvious universal hits are done (jurassic park, e.t., back to the future, jaws, mummy)... anything else?
You leaft out UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN, which is by far the nicest Universal Studios park out there.
Re: What NBC Universal Property can help Universal Studios?
^ It's the second one on the list...
