1959 & 1962

My Grandma recently passed these down to me over the summertime and I have decided to share these with you.

I have made my return!
Enjoy.

1959:

Mostly of the CBS Studio, but the bottom left hand corner photo is the Tomorrowland Entry. (The 1955 version)

1962:

You might scan those in and do a color correction and enlarge them, they look like they are a real piece of your family history.

Oh and welcome back.

Speaking of Tomorrowland.

The photo with my Grandpa and mom in it has the House of the future behind it. Its interesting trying to disect in detail in every inch of each picture.

Thanks for posting these barfownz (and welcome back!!!)

I was surprised by two things. Seems like so few trees, and the ones there are small. Take for granted now how long some of them have had to grow.

And in the pic in front of the train station, I don't see the extent of the gardening they have now, they have those poster boards up which I guess weren't hiding anything pretty at the time.

So in both cases, evidence that the good old classic days aren't always better, in both cases I prefer the DL of today.

Thanks. =D

But You have to understand, You probably wish you could experience the old Disneylandat your current age and take a stroll, check out the details compared to today. I know i would.

Today's version is a peice of history
Yesterday's version was a little old theme park owned by a movie producer/artist.

Great Pics, thank you for showing them. One of the best part of seeing old pictures for me is getting to see the cars they use to drive.

That actually wasn't at Disneyland. That was at CBS Studios. The photo in the bottom left hand corner shows the 1955 version of the Tomorrowland entryway.

Thanks for making your first post on my thread.
