Also I have a bunch of Tulip brand fabric paints. Do you suppose that would work just as well as acrylic or is the figure more plastic than fabric?
I haven't tried using fabric paints so I'm not exactly sure if it would work on the vinyls. The 3" vinyls are basically solid pieces of vinyl while the 9" pieces are hollow on the inside (think of a rubber ducky) They're not easy to squeeze but they are hollow inside. The 3" ones are alittle tricky to paint mainly due to their size. You can get some good detail in them; but I have only done one 3" custom which was my first one. I mainly like to work with the 9" figures; but the main downside is the fact that they are still $39.99.

Sure! Here are the three I've done so far. First up is my first one I made for my cousins 21st birthday. Sorry the lighting is terrible. I haven't had a chance to take better pictures since I gave it to her in July.

This was my first 9" custom I made. It was for my mom's birthday in August. The design is based of her favorite Soccer team which is Chivas Mexico.

This last one I made last week for my sister. She purchased a stuffed figure from Disneyland. They have these monster plushes in the shape of mickey. She fell in love with this particular one and basically he's become a part of our family. He goes everywhere and we take alot of pictures of him. We call him Mr. M.

Ok, here's my problem. I resist, resist, resist, but then finally give in. By the time I give in and start buying these, everyone will be tired of them. They're so cute and a friend of mine started collecting them, then this thread really makes them desirable! Arrggh!
    I want my cake back!

I resisted too until I realized I could design my own. Currenly waiting on a shipment of vinyls and special art tools from Japan. I think I may be in over my head lol.

seenoevil, start now! They're still popular, and tons more are still on the way!!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I agree! I regret not starting when I first saw them. Once I actually decided to research them, I was desperate to get one, and I realize just how addicting they are now!

Wow, so the only other time I heard about these Vinylmation Figurines is when I saw them at the World of Disney back in August. But today for my Birthday I got my first one, and now I'm addicted!

Here is a picture of my first one:
