The Smurfs are the next Disney's Acquired Characters??

Reason:

1.- The Smurfs Movie was a Box Office Success, This Movie earns $500 million; Disney needs $500 million of Smurfs Movie in Mickey Mouse's Pocket.

2.- The Smurfs 80's series was a successfull series, earning 9 seasons, Disney needs Many Episodes on TV Series Library.

3.- The Smurfs are belgian culture, Disney wants to expand the company to Europe.

Imagine A Pixar film about the Smurfs, Marvel republishing Smurfs, Smurfs attraction at Disneyland Resort, or even The Smurfs 3 under Disney Banner.

Disney will acquire the Merchandising License and World Premiere of The Smurfs 2 from Sony. Sony will earn 10% of Box Office of The Smurfs 2 and the rest goes to Disney.

As Marvel Super Hero Takeover, Club Penguin will partner with The Smurfs during Summer 2014.

Aside from the nostalgia value from middle-aged Americans who remember the cartoon from 30 years ago, no current American audience knows them or even cares. You're Lying! Smurfs have Market Value in United State, Becuase of Movie, TV Series and IPod Touch game "The Smurfs Village". I Know they're Popular in France and Belgium. Disney wants to expand Company's Popularity to Europe, France and Belgium.

In 2009, After Disney acquire Marvel, Nickelodeon acquire the rights of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from 4Kids Entertainment and Mirage Group.

Warner Bros. will acquire the rights of Asterix & Obelix to make an Animated Movie

Paramount Picture and Nickelodeon Movies has already made a Tin Tin Movie.
