May 1 – StringCircle Quartet 4:00 pm, Special Exhibition Hall Tickets available online at www.waltdisney.org The StringCircle Quartet plays an unusual and exciting piece by composer George Onslow (1784-1853). Onslow’s work was admired by both Beethoven and Schubert. Jonathan Dimmock joins in for the Piano Quintet in E-flat major of Robert Schumann. MAY LECTURES
May 22 – Voice-over in Animation: Kathryn Beaumont, the voice of Wendy 3:00 pm, Theater Tickets available online at www.waltdisney.org Discover what it was like to be the voice of Wendy in Peter Pan from Disney Legend Kathryn Beaumont! She will discuss her experiences as a voice-over artist, what it was like to work with Walt, and how animation and voice-acting combine to create all of our favorite animated films. Imaginations and creativity will soar with our new Disney Discoveries! The second Saturday of each month, join us for family fun and activities in the Learning Center. The activities planned by our education staff will inspire the hidden artist in young visitors while learning about the life and work of Walt Disney.
The Disney Discoveries! Activities are free with paid admission to the Museum. No ticket is needed for members—just show your membership card.
