    Favorite Characters

What is your favorite Disney character of all time?

    1. Ariel, because I watched the movie twice a day for like 2 years when I was little. I like to swim and make stories about the ocean and I love the songs!

    2. Cinderella, because she is a kind hard-working person who deserves better and she did live happily ever after. I always thought I looked like her, blonde, blue eyes. Also, her dress is blue (my fave color).

So what's your favorite character(s)? Tell me why

Tigger. Because he's loud and obnoxious. And he's a tiger.

Duffy, because he's just cute and loves adventures.

    Re: Favorite Characters

I like Goofy and Genie myself.

I personally enjoy character interactions when the people in the costumes will do something amazing. I went last year with my wife and she took a picture of myself standing next to Minnie Mouse. One of my friends mentioned out loud that I was a married man, Minnie began a rendition of Beyonce's "Single Ladies" dance which was tremendous.
"Up" is a relative concept. It has no intrinsic value.

I like Elliott the dragon from Pete's Dragon because that was the first Disney movie i went to as a kid.

I also like Captain America because i think the impenetrable shield is awesome.

I love Rapunzel, since the minute I watched Tangled she became my favorite princess. I now watch that movie at least once a week.
    I just love Disney!

    Re: Favorite Characters

Since this is in the Disneyland section, I'll answer for favorite character in the park.

I like the face characters rather than the masked characters because the human seems more real to me, which makes it easier to pretend that the person really is who they're dressed as. Then, if they do something special, that makes it so much better.

With this in mind, my all time favorite is this Ariel:

On a trip a few years ago, she made my daughter feel like the most special girl in Disneyland by remembering her by name for a couple of days, and even aranging a special private greeting. As far as I'm concerned, this lovely young lady in this costume really is a princess.

And just to be fair, all the other princesses are real dolls, too.

Captain America is not Disney, but ok. Yeah, Pete's Dragon is one of my favorites! there is nothing about it in Disneyland, except the Electrical Parade. I have a lot of movies on VHS, and Pete's Dragon is there and I cry every time I see it. I have not seen it in years, but I love that movie.

i completely agree. I have always said that they need something else in Disneyland besides the parade float.

    Re: Favorite Characters

My favorites, in no particular order:
    Goofy(he's so. . . goofy)
Stitch(I was born in Hawaii, and he's an awesome Elvis)
Merryweather(she's feisty and has a lot of spunk)
    Winnie the Pooh(he's so lovable)
    Darkwing Duck(just because)
Timon and Pumbaa(when Lion King first came out, my sister nicknamed me Pumbaa)
    Meeko(he's so funny and cute)
Giselle(I like the idea of Disney doing a parody of the whole fairy tale/Disney princess genre)
Tinkerbell(there are guys who like Tinkerbell)
Mickey Mouse(it all started with a Mouse)
    Animal(my favorite Muppet)
The Beast(Hank McCoy, a character Disney acquired as part of their purchase of Marvel Comics. I like the combination of his bestial appearance and his superior intellect)
The Thing(There's a heart of gold underneath that rocky exterior, another character acquired as part of the purchase of Marvel)
Pinkamena Diane Pie, is that you?

Belle. I love that she's a reader. I was always a girl walking here and there with my nose in a book -- in fact, now there's usually one in my purse. The scene in the movie where Beast gives her the library gives me chills still.
