12 Lost Disney Characters You’ve Probably Never Heard Of

A Disney animated feature goes through several edits and re-writes before it ever makes it to the big screen. Sometimes for the better — without cuts, we would’ve seen a comical turkey voiced by John Candy in ‘Pocahontas.’ Here are 10 Disney characters who join Redfeather in the league of those who didn’t quite make the cut.

Holy Mackerel! This is awesome! I knew about characters from Beauty and the Beast getting cut...like the Wardrobe was supposed to be more important to the storyline but most of her dialogue got cut. I never knew about the Music Box. I'll look out for him next time I watch.
And whew! Thank goodness they cut poor Sunflower. Completely cringe-worthy that this was EVER acceptable in our society. I'm glad we have that in the distant past and the majority of folks find that type of humor/depiction distatsteful.

An interesting read, and some good insight into the creative processes behind the scenes.

On a side note, I found it interesting the pictures they used for the cut Aladdin characters came from the stage production at Tuacahn Theater in St. George Utah.

Great find, there are more. I seem to remember Mulan having a panda sidekick at some point. They had concept art hanging up at the old animation tour at DHS.

Seems like they should have beat Kung Fu Panda to the silver screen, he could have been a very popular Disney character.

That is really interesting, thaks for sharing
The new Star Wars plot summery:

Episode 7: Luke discovers that Darth Vader is not his father, and goes on a search for his real father

Episode 8: Darth Vader is resurrected and goes on Jerry Springer, claiming he is Luke and Leia's father

Episode 9: Princes Leia is not Luke's sister, making him furious (we all know why...).
