    Disney's Frozen teaser

Teaser for the upcoming WDAS film Frozen.

Really interested to hear what MiceChatters make of this...

I haven't heard much about the movie yet, but I laughed at the trailer! It looks pretty cute!

I thought it was an awful way to bring awareness to their take on an Hans Christian Andersen story. On its own, it's clever and cute. A throwaway.

But to advertise the 53rd Disney Animated Feature from the creators of Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph?? Wow... absolutely not the way to do it.

I thought the trailer was incredibly lame. That's not saying that I think the movie is going to be terrible. But wow, two characters racing after an object they both want, and throw in some whimsy. Groundbreaking...

    Re: Disney's Frozen teaser

From watching the trailer here, it feels like animated antics a la Ice Age. If it is supposed to be a fairytale re-telling, I certainly did not get that feeling. The artwork I have seen has been beautiful and not at all what was shown in this trailer.

I'll wait until more is released before making a final judgement.

It'll probably be better than this trailer suggests.

I recall the Tangled trailers being rather lame as well. Hopefully it is just a bad trailer.

This looks like more of a stand alone cartoon short, than a true trailer for the actual movie.

As a cartoon short, I really liked it!!!!!

    Did not impress me.
Like others have said, the obsession with a certain food is an Ice Age rip-off. (I really hate that squirrel!)
An animal possessing dog qualities when not a dog is getting old too. Disney animators and writers have access to scores of nature films and books from the past. They can observe animal behavior at the nearby L.A. Zoo. They could have made a caribou that acted like a caribou and exaggerated it. Maybe instead of a harmonious call the caribou could have been tone deaf? Just a random idea.
I thought Frozen was going to be a serious story, not a slapstick fare. At least that's what this trailer implies.

The posts on Facebook were filled with negative comments that are completely true... and which were subsequently removed eventually. I hope that someone at Disney (that has any control) is reading them and taking that into consideration. This is possibly a disastrous move on their part.

It really pains me though... I have friends all working hard on this movie and I'm usually the guy that would support them... but it just looks awful. I'm POSITIVE the finished result will be loads better than what we've seen, but I'm angry because I want it to be good and I want EVERYONE to want to see it as well.

It's really the Circle of Life now isn't it? In the past, everyone else was "too disney" or a "disney copycat". Now Disney is too "Ice Age" or "Dreamworks" or too "pixar" even. I wish they would just go back to their legacy of beautiful hand drawn animated fare and be amazing at it.

I want it to be good too. I still hope it can be good, if anything to keep some form of traditional animation alive.
I will see the movie. I see just about every animated film whenever I can.
I didn't like the first trailer for Princess and the Frog but I ended up enjoying the movie immensely.

For those impatient, there is a Japanese trailer that shows actual film footage. And it looks quite impressive.

Reminder. This is the Japanese language trailer.

    Re: Disney's Frozen teaser

Wow. Now THAT'S something that gets me excited. Why is the Japanese marketing so superior? Do they really take American audiences to be so juvenile and not appreciative of good marketing?

My point is, if the movie is more in line with what the Japanese trailer is, why would they even trick audiences into thinking Frozen is this happy silly snowman reindeer caper? That's just misleading.
