I only watched this when it was in theatres, and I think I ruined my experience because I'd just finished reading the original book. I need to rent and re-watch this again.
Brought my PS3 and some Blu-rays to my folks place for Thanksgiving to help them get caught up on some new movies.
Up - We laughed as the movie started out and my Dad complained, "Aw, no, this is depressing!" It was interesting to watch these movies with people who knew nothing about the stories, because Dad was really struck by the Carl's sadness. Mom happened to be asleep in bed, tired from cooking all week. So thumbs up to Disney for including a DVD in this set; I left it with them so she could watch it later.
Star Trek - Dad enjoyed this too. He was surprised, of course, when Leonard Nimoy showed up.
MGM: When the Lion Roared - This is a six-hour documentary included on The Wizard of Oz Blu-ray. Despite Patrick Stewart's somewhat pompous delivery in his filmed hosting bits (I blame the director), it's a great look back at the creation and history of MGM, made even more sad by the fact that today the studio's now for sale once again.

Love that movie so much. Pirates in Space, what's better than that?
