Before watching James Cameron's next behemoth Avatar, I thought I'd watch his last behemoth Titanic.

I haven't seen it in its entirety since it's theatrical release. It's alright, but having not watched it in the last 12 years, I've noticed its shortcomings. And boy has CGI come a long way in those 12 years. I wonder if Jim would pull a Lucas and release a special edition with touched-up effects.

Now the big question is, will Avatar make more money? It will make a bunch, but probably not surpass Titanic. I don't think Sam Worthington is making the girls swoon enough like a young Leo.

As much as I want to see Avatar, I honestly don't think it's going to be as big as everybody is projecting. I know a LOT of people who could care less about it.

Hehe, I noticed the shortcomings on the first viewing.

There is absolutely no reason it needs to be that long, first of all. And as much as I like seeing Kate Winslet cans, a movie like Titanic doesn't need nudity or foggy back seat love making.

OR the ending... that annoyed me the most.

It's funny Avatar hasn't really caught my attention. I'm more interested in seeing The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus when it comes out in two weeks. I'll probably still see Avatar though. But you know, Parnassus is Heath's last movie...

*raises hand* I'm one of them, in all honesty I'm just not excited for Dances with Wolves in space. That and I have a feeling that even if the 3D film is all what it's being hyped up to be, then it'll only be worth watching in theaters and never at home.

As what movie I just watched, Videodrome...classic Cronenberg.

Finally saw Hellboy II. LOVED IT! Also thought it was interesting that Roy Dotrice was the king in it. (Roy played "Father" to Ron Perlman's "Vincent" in the old "Beauty and the Beast" tv show).

OMG, the princess and the frog was awesome. it had alot of comedy and found myself laughing though it all.

BY THE WAY, AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO CRIED WHEN RAY DIED THEN BECAME A STAR. I ALSO CRIED WHEN THEY WEDD BEFORE THEY TURNED BACK HUMAN.

Just saw it today, seriously awesome movie! A great return to 2d animation and definitely on the right track to return to the heights of Beauty and the Beast/Little Mermaid, et. al.

As to the scene mentioned... yeah, I cried at that part. I am really glad that this scene was in there. It's heartbreaking and harsh and yet tender and sweet too. I'm really glad they didn't shy away from it at all. They've done that too much in recent years.
