Thank the mods for adding spoiler boxes but it was too late by the time I read your post. Thanks for ruining the movie, rob3gd. That was really messed up what you did.

With both seasons of Zorro making their way onto DVD in the Treasures line, I decided to pick-up The Mask of Zorro on DVD as it was in the $6.88 section at Walmart. Watched it last night. Fun movie. I didn't see it since it's theatrical release. I'm probably going to pick-up The Legend of Zorro too.

The sequel sadly isn't very good.

Yesterday, I watched Julie and Julia with my sisters (one of which read the book). There was a lot of slow parts, but I, actually, really enjoyed it. I found it kinda nice that my sister read the book because she told me about some little details from the book that was excluded from the movie, which is to be expected since it's an adaption

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (Blu Ray)

Still just as good as it was in the theatre and it looks great in Blu.

    Elf

One of my all time favorite Christmas movies.

The Blind Side- Got to see this last night right here in La Habra. I admit that while I have seen this kind of a movie millions of times, this was really entertaining to watch.

Re: The "What Movie Did You Just See?" thread RELOADED

Last night we watched two movies; "The Road" about a father & son journeying together toward the sea across a post-apocalyptic landscape, some years after a great, unexplained cataclysm has destroyed civilization & almost all life on Earth & "Invictus" (a true story) about Nelson Mandela, he was a prisoner who became a ...president. To unite his country, he asked one man to do the impossible.

My Reviews…. I wouldn’t say “The Road” is a “must see” but I really liked the young boys character (about 8 years of age) he was very compassionate for others while his father wasn’t. It’s a bit long, it reminded me a lost of the movie castaway with tom hanks & that darn volleyball!

“Invictus” I really enjoyed this movie, I normally enjoy Morgan Freeman’s movies anyway , Matt Damon also did an excellent job. Freeman’s character was of a brave & intelligent man whose courage & strength inspired to change his country showing compassion & forgiveness. I love his quote about forgiveness; "Forgiveness liberates the soul, it removes fear." (how true that is!) I found it to be a very encouraging example to myself of how we should be to one another.

Overall; there were really great examples of how we should be compassionate to others regardless of the situation we’re placed in. I encourage you to read some reviews about the movies listed above, & really take into consideration of seeing Invictus. I think Hollywood should def make more movies like this, it really touched my heart to be a better woman in Christ. You may not be able to change the world, but you can certainly encourage others around you to make this world a better place.

That's cool! I've been eyeing the price of the GWTW Ultimate Collector's Edition Blu-ray set bounce up and down on Amazon. Never seen the movie and this seems like the best way to introduce myself to it. Just wish I was already done with my Christmas shopping so I wouldn't feel so guilty.

it's COMPLICATED -- woof, it sure was! I sat through it all and was moderately entertained but man, it was kind of like torture? You all know how break ups are and divorces and all that FUN stuff of trying to get back together... it's nothing but heartache and this movie captures that feeling.

...I need something with explosions now.
