LAND OF THE LOST -- I never watched the original series but I don't think you'd need to really. This modern update though is kind of all flash and not enough substance. I love all the performers in this movie but I gotta say... Will Ferrell kind of ruins it for me.

Law Abiding Citizen- Im not a real big fan of Jamie Fox but I did like him in this movie. I am becoming a fan of Gerard Butler, he's been in a quite a few movies that I've enjoyed. This movie was really good, a bit long in some areas but overall I really liked it!

Bolt - A friend talking about her baby daughter loving watching this movie inspired me to pop it in and watch tonight. Fun!

THIS IS IT --- Loved it. I am a child of the 60's who was brought up with the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson. Parts made me cry (specific songs). It was really bittersweet to see.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Absolutely LOVED it. It was Belle's first time and it's been years since I've seen it. We need to get to a midnight show soon.

Where The Wild Things Are
It really wasn't very good. To me, the book is MUCH better. It seems like the movie just wouldn't end - it went on, and on, and on.

SCHINDLER'S LIST - Yah, an odd Halloween Eve choice but I'm home sick and have time to spare. I remember buying the DVD but never once popping it in so I finally did it. Still a really well-made piece of work. Quite amazing.

Schindlers List is one of those movies that everybody should see once ... I can't imagine watching repeated viewings of it. An amazing film, an important film, but you gotta be prepared to be depressed for awhile after watching.
Kind of like Transformers 2. :p
(sorry, I coudn't resist)

Honestly I can recall the last time I saw it: in the theaters in 1993. So it being that long ago, I can't even remember the movie that well... just pieces of it. Watching it again, it's still heartbreaking but a lot tamer than I remembered it.
and still sick, I popped in an oldie: RUMBLE IN THE BRONX -- haha awful dubbing and acting aside, this is great stuntwork by Jackie Chan.

WOW...Belle hadn't seen it? I loved that movie back in the day! There was a theatre in Phoenix that showed it every weekend and people were all dressed up, etc. It was a blast!

Re: The "What Movie Did You Just See?" thread RELOADED
Had friends over to watch the magic of Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and Wallace and Gromit in A Matter of Loaf and Death. They were impressed. My job is done. :)

Oh GAWD, my roommate walked in and made the same exact joke! You guys should get married or something.
meanwhile... I watched TIM BURTON'S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS on bluray once again and whatdyaknow... i didn't fall asleep! Well, it's not that I dislike the movie... I LOVE it. It does tend to get slow and it's kind of late and I'm sick so I thought I'd be sure to be dozing off in no time at all, but nope, not this time. Of course when you're coughing every few minutes it's hard to stay asleep anyway.
AHEM.... so it's still a great movie. And I watched the neat behind the scenes features about the Haunted Mansion Holiday too which was really neat.
