Alice in Wonderland - Great movie. A lot better than I thought it would be. I, for some reason or another, must've missed that it was technically a sequel and not a full remake.

Twilight Zone: The Movie - Arguably a must see for every TZ fan. Fairly creepy and very well done for it's time (1983).

Saw Hot Tub Time Machine at a sneak preview the other night. Fun in a mindless way. I do like the homage to 80s movies though...

    Police Story
    Police Story 2
    Supercop
(originally released as Police Story 3)
First Strike (originally released as Police Story 4).

Police Story is just incredible to watch even now 25 years later. The action is just stunning, especially when you when you realize those guys are taking real hits to the face, or truly falling without cables 30 feet onto a bookcase to break their fall. The choreography is brutal and features a couple of Jackie Chan's most dangerous stunts. The other 3 films are fun though not nearly in the same league, and as for parts 3 and 4 I've only been able to see the butchered and dubbed American releases.

    Planet 51

What I saw of it was stupid. What I didn't see while taking a nap was also apparently stupid, at least according to the rest of the family.

    The Blind Side
    The Hurt Locker

i preferred the Blind Side though.. the Hurt Locker was really good, but totally unrelatable to me personally. i'm sure anyone who has served their time in armed forces will really be touched

Finally saw Monsters Vs. Aliens. It wound up being a cute little film.

I absolutely LOVE that movie! (And Sean Connery BEFORE he started "shaping" his eyebrows. LOL)

Watched Sleeping Beauty tonight for the first time in a long while. The animation, and especially the backgrounds, is gorgeous!

Re: The "What Movie Did You Just See?" thread RELOADED

We had a movie night at our house:

    Terminator

The boy had never seen it, it was one of my favorite movies growing up and it still delivers.

    Ponyo

Didn't really make a whole lot of sense to me. Had some cute moments, but like a lot of those japanese movies, just kind of "out there" for me.

    The Lost Boys

Another movie that holds up really well. Just great fun and I think the kids enjoyed it.

    Hot tub Time Machine

was pretty funny but there was some nudity and a lot of drug use. Not for the younggins but a fun movie.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Alice- I enjoyed it. I liked the actress that played Alice a lot, wasn't too fond of the cheshire cat but I loved Depp's Mad Hatter. My son LOVED it though.

    What Lies Beneath

haven't seen it in a while. still packs a good scare punch! i've kept this movie as one of my favorite scary movies for a long time because at the time it came out, it was such a breath of fresh air compared to the B-list teenager-based scary movies that were all coming out at once.
