Saw Robin Hood last weekend. It was pretty good. Bonus of seeing Scott Grimes. Will there be a sequel? I'd see it.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

RESCUERS DOWN UNDER -- still a good movie. Funny watching it now with educated eyes... I can see the background transitions so obviously now because it was just too big for their computers to handle. What amazes me most though is the animation... it really is well done. And the colors too... beautiful thanks to the CAPS system.

Should I admit that today I rewatched Batman Forever for the first time in I don't know how long. I had much fonder memories of it than a rewatch allowed. I mean, I didn't remember it being quite that bad. I still think it's superior to Batman & Robin but that's not saying much. Oh well, an interesting waste of 2 hrs.

    From my DVD collection:
Aliens - Watched Avatar not long ago and wanted to revisit this James Cameron flick at some point so I did this evening. Funny how much of the marines look Cameron borrowed from this flick and transplanted it into Avatar, especially the vehicles.

Prince of Persia Was a wonderful old-tyme Sat Afternoon Matinee type of film. Loved it and will be going to see it again!

My folks were in town and since I no longer have cable at home, we watched Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Toy Story and Avatar this weekend.

    Gladiator (Blu Ray)

This movie was MADE for Blu Ray. Still a great movie, but the visuals are amazing in Hi-Def. Of course, Joaquin Phoenix seems even more whiny in Hi Def as well.

I guess I should give it another shot. I thought it was terrible. If you watch Roger Ebert's review, that's exactly how I felt.

One of the few times I disagree with Roger Ebert.

Went with some friends to see The Losers at the dollar theater. I thought it was stylistically a lot like The Rundown with Dwayne Johnson (realized later that Rundown director Peter Berg had a writing credit on Losers), but I thought Rundown was a lot more fun.

Got my copy of Alice in Wonderland yesterday. It looked spectacular in HD. Loved the performances of Alice, Cheshire Cat, White Queen and Red Queen. I also thought Johnny Depp's performance was worthy of some compliments. Good movie, it was even better with the captions on...

    On DVD from my collection:
Who Framed Roger Rabbit: I decided to watch movies of summers past as this summer seems to be a stinker for blockbusters. At least I'm saving some money... for 2011 and 2012 as those will be filled with blockbusters. What can I say about Roger Rabbit - a technological classic in my opinion. If the rumours are true that Zemeckis wants to do a sequel, I'm up for it.

Alien 3: Not bad but I have to same it's the dullest of the four. It could've used some more Aliens rather than just one. I watched the 2003 Special Edition from the 2-DVD set.

    At the Theater:
Get Him to the Greek: It was funny. I enjoyed it. Your typical Judd Apatow fair. I haven't seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall yet so I got to check that one out since this one is a spinoff.

On my to do list this weekend is definitely The A-Team, and maybe Prince of Persia.

Brother Bear - I haven't seen this in a few years, and after re watching it, I couldn't understand how it got such low rating from critics, I loved it! Emotional and heartwarming, reminded me of the Lion King. I wouldn't consider it a classic, but defiantly still worth seeing in my opinion.
