Thumbs up Re: The "What Movie Did You Just See?" thread RELOADED

I saw Toy Story 3 at a special early screening on Saturday, in San Francisco, with my daughter and 3 year old granddaughter.
They really did it again, with number 3!
    I LOVED IT!
It was one of the best days of my grandma life!

But I'm also a fighter, so don't get any ideas!

I just popped in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (the original not special edition) and wow, I had forgotten just how amazingly good this movie is. It's such a tight script and entertaining... and every song is good! It really is one of Disney's best.

We watched the A- Team. It was okay. It was a late showing and I kinda fell asleep... I didnt think it was one Bradley Coopers best films....Liam Nesson (however you spell his name) always does a great job! I have to admit he's one of my favorites!

I saw Shrek 4 last weekend. I really, really liked it! So much better than the first three.

We went to a Toy Story 3 3D IMAX screening last night, all I can say is Pixar did an amazing job wrapping up the story, many tears were shed.

    On DVD from my library:
The 13th Warrior - It's a Disney flick, ok, under the Touchstone label. This is one I like to watch every once in awhile. Not only am I a big Michael Crichton fan, it's also neat to see a recognizable area where it was filmed, back home on Vancouver Island. Regarded as a financial flop, but a cult favourite now on home video, it underwent a long delay to get released because a number of reshoots were required, which were done by Crichton himself. A cool viking movie. One of my favourites. Love the soundtrack, which had cues used in some other movies (Kingdom of Heaven was one of them).

    At the theatre:
Prince of Persia - When I first saw the trailer, it actually didn't really interest me much as I thought it was another Scorpion King-type movie. It was cheap Tuesday at the theatres so I decided to go see it. I was surprised, I actually enjoyed it. I enjoyed it more than Alice in Wonderland.

The original Freaky Friday (the one with Jodie Foster & Barbara Harris). It was on the Hallmark Movie Channel a few nights ago, so I set the DVR to record it. I always preferred this one, though I admit I like the one with Jamie Lee Curtis & Lindsay Lohan (before she lost her fool mind) too. I remember reading the book when I was a kid.

I loved the original Freaky Friday as a kid. I always wanted what she had for breakfast.

    But seriously Kuzcochik...How?
Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I got tickets to a sneak preview. One of the perks of working at the Disney Store. Plus it was the 3D showing AND it was in IMAX!!

Going to see a marathon of all 3 Toy Story's tonight. Super excited for that (I'll report back and let you know if I cry just as hard at 3 the second time around)

ALADDIN - I remember loving this movie so much so its surprising that watching it again after so many years have passed that it doesn't hold up as good as I hoped it would. Where Beauty and the Beast blew my mind again, this one felt very elementary. It's still a fun and entertaining musical but the gags really felt 90s. The many animators of Aladdin was also disatracting, since he never quite looked the same.

"Get Him to the Greek." It was a okay. It had a lot of heart. Russell Brand was really good.

As I'm sure many already said, saw Toy Story 3 at the midnight showing Thursday night/Friday morning.

Now to figure out when we're seeing it again.

TOY STORY 3 -- Superb bit of filmmaking. Very funny, suspenseful, and bitter sweet. There are things that didn't like but a very minor thing. 4.5/5

GET HIM TO THE GREEK -- If shock humor is your kind of thing, this movie is all about that. But it does have some great scenes so I think it's worth a look if you're into that sort of thing. 3/5

Just came back from Toy Story 3. PIXAR has done it again. My full review will be in the TS3 Thread, but it was fantastic.
