    +1, very enthusiastically!

Justice League: The New Frontier - After viewing the bonus features and Batman: Animated episodes included in Batman: Under the Red Hood, I cracked open my new Blu-ray copy of JL:TNF to watch in high def for the first time. Looks great! But having seen the movie through the eyes of a comic book geek all excited about seeing DC's heroes in Golden and Silver Age costumes on past viewings, this was really the first time I sat back and saw all the political and social themes pushing the story (yeah, I know, I'm really slow ). Much deeper movie than I realized, but still an action-packed, original concept about Darwyn Cooke's version of the birth of the Justice League of America.

I heard that Kristen Stewart played a really good Joan Jett.I didn't realize this movie was out on DVD already.

Like the similar feel to Tim Burton's Batman - I guess Danny Elfman's score has something to do with that too. And what has happened to Warren Beatty? Is he still in some situation due to the rights to Dick Tracy? Did it make him go into hiding or did he retire? He hasn't made a movie since 2001. Back in the early 90s when the initial plans were being developed for DCA, a Dick Tracy attraction was in the works for the area known toady as Hollywood Pictures Backlot, but it didn't happen. Deserves a better release on DVD and Blu-Ray too. Please Disney - revisit this one and Rocketeer!
What did you think of Madonna's acting?... I guess if you call it that?lol I really love her Dick Tracy soundtrack. She's a better dancer/singer performer than actor. And I think Warren has been out of the limelight due to him being a dedicated family man with Annette Benning.

Yeah it came out July 20th. If you can tolerate more than your fair share of the F word, I'd say go ahead and watch it. I enjoyed it.

Casablanca. Was in the mood to see it again. Favorite movie of all time. Everything about it is just perfect and it never feels dated. Great performances, real characters, intelligent plot, witty funny dialogue, and rich themes of redemption. The finale has made a deep impression on me.

I wish I'd seen this thread before. Recently I saw Back to the Future 3 and Star Wars A New Hope. As well as Hanover Street.

Saw Clash of the Titans earlier today. I can see why it only got 2.5 stars. I was disappointed and bored by it. Way too much CGI.
One film I did like was Cop Out. How I love Tracey Morgan! I actually saw it twice last week.
Also saw Bounty Hunter. Wow, did that one suck! Gerard Butler is a hottie but jeeze that crap was awful!
One more I saw that I love & adore was 500 Days of Summer. Gosh, I'd love to meet a boy like Tom Hansen! LOL I think I've seen it like 8 times in a year.

Inception. I already wrote about it over on the Inception thread here so I won't repeat myself, but suffice to say that while it's strengths were enough to keep me pretty entertained, I also was disappointed with a few things, a couple which I felt were pretty significant and resulted in some missed opportunities. A good enough film but not quite up to the hype for me.

BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT- Viewing it again, this is still a great movie! In fact, its even better the second time around. The animation in the first segment was very weird, but the animation throughout the rest of the movie is amazing.

    From my library:
The Rocketeer - After watching Dick Tracy, felt like popping this one in. Great movie, but... lousy DVD release. C'mon Disney, how about a release like you guys did for TRON? And how about re-booting this one and turning it into a trilogy? Speaking of TRON, that's what I watched next...

TRON - What can I say? The mother of all CGI movies. Cool movie and a great DVD release from Disney - they got this one right. Now why can't they release all their movies like this? Looking forward to TRON: Legacy.

    Blow

An older movie but one that I never got around to seeing. Started watching it at about 10:30 last night fully expecting to fall asleep while watching (which is why I was recording it) but it managed to keep my attention the whole time. Very good. I never thought I'd feel sorry for a drug smuggler.

    Step Up 3D

Any suggestions on what to watch next to wash out that movie from my brain? I honestly didn't enjoy it at all, but the 3D was probably the best I've seen for a live action movie, which is saying something.
