    Salt

It was just OK. I'm usually one to let myself get lost in a movie and believe in the world they're trying to sell. I don't try to figure out twists and turns or try to get too far ahead of the plot. However, I just couldn't help myself with this one. I couldn't fully get involved with Angelina Jolie's character and ended up figuring out the twist far in advance of the reveal. It was one of those movies I wished I would've waited to rent.

Yeah you really can't compare Rent Live to the movie version. I've seen Rent Live 4 times. I love this musical.

    Tonight at the theater:
The Other Guys - One of thee best Will Ferrell movies. It was hilarious. Laughed all the way thru. The opening sequence with Samuel L. and The Rock is great. "Uh, someone call 9-1 holy ****!"

There is a small scene at the end of the credits. It's more like a blooper scene.

No, Casey-EO i haven't seen "The Karate Kid" (2010) yet and you might think it's a silly reason for boycotting it: it's called The Karate Kid. Had they called it The Kung Fu Kid, I would have gone. This is just another example of Hollywood being completely ignorant to what really matters. They think they would make money because we're familiar with the old franchise. I say no to that. I'm renting it.

And Izzy, I actually enjoyed 2012 too for the same reasons you listed. Yes, it's totally cheesy but I got sucked in. Certainly more entertaining than KNOWING.

The Other Guys - Loved it. You know exactly what to expect when you see the trailers, so if you're disappointed in the movie, you have no one to blame but yourself.

The Kids Are Alright - it was pretty good. I'd see it again.

Totally agree with you! Such a good movie!

I watched Oceans 12 last night. I didn't like it as much as 11 and 13 but I still enjoyed it.

Re: The "What Movie Did You Just See?" thread RELOADED

    Over the last few days...
    As rentals:
Repo Men - Watched the unrated version. Wow! what a movie. Get yourself prepared for some blood and guts if you watch this one. I tend to have a weak stomach and thought I wouldn't be able to get thru it, but I got thru it and enjoyed it. Pretty good movie.

The Bounty Hunter - Boooooorrrriiinnngg. Seriously dull. The cover says hilarious comedy, but yeah, it's dull. And it's longer than it should be. SNL's Jason Sudeikis is in there in a supporing rile, but he was annoying and I was hoping he'd get hit by a truck throughout the whole movie. I'll save you two hours, don't watch this one.

    From my library:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - finally added the most recent chapter of the Potter franchise and continued my Potter viewing. A little slow this one, but a good set-up for Deathy Hallows. I'm intersted in reading the books now.

THE ROCKETEER -- love love love this film. Always have. I missed out on the Disney/Arclight screening this week so I had to recreate it at home. This is a true diamond in the rough.

I watched it a few days ago. Great movie but crappy DVD release. If only they could release a nicely restored 2-disc version like they did for TRON.
