Swing Kids - Took your recommendation SirClinks and I was not disappointed. Besides dreamy Christian Bale, there's a young Noah Wyle as well. It's truly heart wrenching seeing the destruction and devastation of Nazi Germany in the 1930's.
I didn't like Kristen Stewart in Adventureland either. That movie was almost as bad as a Twilight Movie.

And isn't Swing Kids great? It's truly one of those under-appreciated/underrated movies that I just love.

    8: The Mormon Proposition

Didn't really give any new "Shocking" details about Prop 8 and it's aftermath to anybody who has been following this issue. Tried to put a "human" touch on it, which was nice. I got teary eyed a few times. Unfortunately I think most of the people who see this movie are going to be the ones that already are on the side of the filmmakers. So it's pretty much just "preaching to the choir". Still, it's great and I urge anybody to see it no matter what side of the issue you are on.

"Too Much, Too Soon" A daring story of Diana Barrymore/The True Story of Diana Barrymore - It was a movie based on Diana Barrymore's book about her life (going by the same title) . The dvd has dated the movie 1957 & IMDb has dated it 1958. Either way, the real Diana Barrymore should have still been around, when it was made. I think I might have saw the real her in the movie. Just this one lady looked like her. But I haven't read any proof that it was.

THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS - really interesting but a bit clumsy. I admire what they did, especially with the death of Heath Ledger right in the middle of filming, they really couldn't have found a better solution than they did.

Old Boy: A modern classic of asian cinema. It was a really decent movie and the end twist will shock you to the core!!! I highly recommend it but make sure you have a strongish stomach haha

Saw VI- Another stupid and pointless Saw movie. Hopefully SAW 3D will be the last sequel.

The Abandoned. A psychological thriller. It was alright. It didn't bore me.

BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS -- yah, this is a big wtf movie. I guess if you're high it might be considered a comedy. I don't really recommend it.

Elvis (1979 TV Movie) - When I learned the UK release of this Blu-ray would play on my PS3, I ordered it up right away. It's a TV movie that aired a couple of years after Elvis died. Kurt Russell played The King, and the director was John Carpenter! I remember really enjoying the movie when it first aired, and after just now watching the first half of it, I'm still rapt by the quiet way it plays out moments (yeah, some of them probably contrived, I know) during young Elvis's life. Kurt is awesome playing Elvis!! But there's a few faces in the 1979 movie I didn't recognize from before, including Ed Begley, Jr. and Melody Anderson. I've got a project to start on tonight, but I'm looking forward to finding another half and a half this week to see the rest of the movie and then the bonus material. I know I'm gonna love it.

    Cop Out

Had some funny moments, was WAY better than any of the much more popular Rush Hour movies. Tracy Morgan played Tracy Morgan and Bruce Willis played Bruce Willis, but some pretty funny stuff between them.

    Kick ***

I never read the comic but I loved the movie.

NEW MOON - wow. absolutely dreadful. words cannot describe how unbearable this movie was. And yet... i suffered through it just to see if it could be redeemed.

The only redeemable is actress Ashley Greene. Yowza!

If you want to see a decent movie with vampires that came out last year, check out Daybreakers with Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill. It was pretty good. I watched it the other day. (and Daybreakers has a higher rating than New Moon on IMDB)

Agreed. She's Mega-Hawt. Her and Anna Kendrick are the only ones from that series that I can see having a long career. Oh, and the one guy who's also on Nurse Betty (forget his name).

CLASH OF THE TITANS - The new one. Not great, but not absolute muck, it's typical hollywood popcorn mindless fare. I enjoyed the small role played by Perseus' father actor Pete Postlethwaite but that was about it.
