Scariest movie ever? Maybe. Movies don't exactly frighten me all too much. To me a scary movie is one that makes me jump and crap myself, and I don't enjoy those kind of movies.
Is it a good movie? Oh hell yeah
I watched that movie when it first came out to theaters back in 1973. I was only 12yo. Freaked me out and I couldn't sleep for months. lol To this day, I can not look at Linda Blair as "normal" ever again. lol I kind of laugh about it now but when I hear "Tublar Bells" it sends shivers down my spine.

I consider this as the scariest movie ever in my book.

    Continuing my Halloween moviethon...

Halloween III: Season of the Witch - First I'll make a confession, I haven't seen one Halloween movie prior to watching this one. I was aware that Micheal Myers is not in this one. Having said that, all I have to say is... it sucks! Seriously. It's boring. There's no witch as the title implies - like Blair Witch 2 where there was no Book of Shadows. Masks that kill kids with some electronic device that contains a mineral extracted from a stone stolen from Stonehenge. Seriously? Who in Hollywood wrote this waste of celluloid. And with the doc getting it on with his new found friend, I was hoping for boobage since this was an R Rated flick, but sadly, no boobage. I actually enjoyed duds like Blair Witch 2 and the Star Wars Holiday Special then this poor excuse for a movie. On top of that, I bought this as part of the double feature 2-disc set also containing Halloween II at Walmart. Unfortunately, something is wrong with the Halloween II disc as it freezes the DVD player - there's no scratches on the disc so it's some fault from the factory where it was produced. So I got to take it back now for an exchange. It only cost $5 though, but still.

Yup, I'm holding my head too, just like Little Buddy here. So far my first negative review this year. This movie truly is a hunk o' dung. I still smell the stench today after watching it last night. I'll be honest though, I liked the masks. I want the skeleton one.

Let's see what I watched so far for my Halloween moviethon:
    Ghostbusters
    The Black Cauldron
    Zombieland
    The Watcher in the Woods
    Creepshow
    Scary Movie
    Scary Movie 2
    American Psycho
    Disney's DTV Monster Hits
    Scary Movie 3
    Van Helsing
    Scary Movie 4
    The Fly (1986)
    Rocky Horror Picture Show
    Trick 'R Treat
Disney's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (From The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad)
    The Wolfman (2010) - Unrated Director's Cut
    Disney Halloween-themed shorts
    Hocus Pocus
Halloween III: Season of the Witch

I've outdone myself. This is the first time I've watched this many in the run-up to Halloween.

    And continuing my Halloween moviethon...

Halloween II (1981) - Not great but much, much better than the 3rd one.

Poltergeist - I honestly can't remember if I saw it when I was a kid. If I did it was way back in the early mid-80s. Pretty good movie. I finally saw what they spoofed in Scary Movie 2.

Extract-It wasn't that great but it was one of those movies you had to see the ending. Ben Affleck's character with long hair does not become him. lol

Taking Chances-Very corny movie to say the least and very predictable.

The Patsy-Jerry Lewis movie- I love his younger days as a movie comedian but this wasn't his best film.

    Continuing my Halloween moviethon...

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) - Yup, I admit, another slasher series that I never actually saw. The only thing I've seen from this franchise was the Freddy's Nightmares TV show which was not bad. This first movie in the series is pretty good, featuring Captain Jack Sparrow in his first big screen role. I'm curious to see this year's remake.

yesterday me and hubby went to see RED. We both really really liked it. It was hilarious...John Malkovich plays his character perfectly. And it had just the right amount of action....and threw an Aerosmith song in for good measure. Hubby gave it a 7....and I agree.

The Sound Of Music sing-a-long. Amazing. I have never seen this movie in theaters so getting to see it was a real treat. The colors were so vivid and it just proves that this movie is timeless. 90% of the theater sang along to 1 song. Do Re Me. You could hear some singing softly to the rest. I was the youngest one there.

Lots of little things I never noticed like the way the Baroness looks between Maria and the Captain and notices what is going on, details on the dresses, hats, just little things like that.

I can't wait to see the cast reunion on Oprah next week.
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban
