    The Polar Express (Blu Ray)

I couldn't stand this movie when it first came out, but it's certainly grown on me and looks simply amazing on Blu Ray. Some cool bonus features. I didn't realize Tom Hanks also did the Motion Capture for the main kid. Wonder if the kid looks like Tom Hanks when he was a kid.

    Christmas Vacation

Still one of my absolute favorites.

From my DVD library, and continuing my holiday moviethon:
Elf - After being out for 7 years, I finally got around to watching it. LOL, great movie, really liked this one.

Bad(der) Santa - Probably the most dysfunctional Christmas movie there is. Great stuff!

    The Queen

It was on BBC America. Was interested in seeing it since it was based on events between (now former) British Prime Minister Tony Blair and the Royal Family coming to an agreement on how the royals would publicly respond to Princess Diana's death. If that's how it all really went down, wow Prince Phillip is a jerk. Made me see the Queen Mum in a different light too and I always liked her.

Hoping to see TRON: Legacy this weekend if the BF & I have time.

The Phantom (the one with Billy Zane)

Another of my guilty pleasures. I think it's a really good comic book movie and was a great adaptation. Sad that it didn't do very well, I would have liked to see where the series would have gone.

I've seen a lot of movies this past week.

The Tourist- I was disappointed with this move. The movie dragged right from the beginning but I had to stay to see the ending. To me it lacked action and chemistry. It was pretty predictable. Honestly, I don't it think deserves Golden Globe nominations. Sorry Johnny, I still love you.

Grown Ups- This movie was ok. It had some funny parts.

Miracle on 34th Street-With Natalie Wood. Classic movie. I love Natalie's character expressions.

    White Christmas
    -Songs singing in my head.

Elf-This movie still makes me laugh

Teaching Mrs. Tingle-I love this movie.

This is what I feared about this movie. Even from the trailers it didn't seem like there was any chemistry between them. And I'm not the biggest fan of Angelina Jolie, I just don't get the attraction that 99% of straight men in this country have with her.

    Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

I absolutely loved it. So sad it didn't do better in the Box Office. Along with Kick *** they are probably the two coolest movies of the year.

    From my DVD library:
The A-Team - Fun! 3rd time seeing it. Hope they make a sequel. Was cool seeing the Hawaii Mars water bomber from back home make an appearance. Also funny seeing the same building (Vancouver's Shangri-La Hotel) that BA is washing windows on, in the TRON Legacy trailer (and assuming its in the movie, but I haven't seen it yet). Yup, those film companies like those tax credits here in BC.

Just finished watching Inception for the first time, and my head hurts. Don't get me wrong, it was an excellent movie. I just need to watch it a second (or third, or fourth) time to gather everything up.

Like I said, facinating movie. Leonardo DiCaprio grabs you. And Cillian Murphy was awesome.

THE BOYS - The portrait documentary of the Sherman Bros is really bittersweet. I had no idea the two had such difficult relations with each other. Very fascinating look into their lives and history. A must see for all fans of their music.

The Cowboys- A John Wayne movie that we have in our house, and I got to admit this is a great movie- fast paced, great performances, a ton of action, and John Wayne is amazing in his role. It's really a great movie with a message about becoming a better man than your father, but also about how that role model in your life can have an impact. And John Williams doing the score- FTW!

    Just watched True Grit.

Excellent film, follows the book well.
Different than the John Wayne version.
Well written with the usual Coen brothers dark humor.
