Of course it's okay! There really isn't anything inappropriate (besides some costumes people wear, but I'm not sure how inappropriate they can be, because I've never been), but it's for everyone of all ages. It's just a convention about comics, video games, movies, geeky stuff.

Badges (your tickets) will be available at the Comic-Con website, and you have to create a Member ID in order to buy them. The price varies on the number of days you go, what days you'll be going (it'll be on July 18th - 21st, Thursday - Sunday, next year), and whether you're an Adult, Junior, Senior, or Active Duty Military. They will be available starting next month, which is usually when they're cheapest. But they do sell out fast, so get them while you can! Hope I helped!

I'm lazy. Still recovering from it all. Didn't do as much exploring, didn't do as much partying... I'm looking at other people's photos and I'm jealous of them haha. Maybe I'll do one but it won't be as good as previous years.

Same here; quite a bit of my time was spent trying to get into Hall H for the Iron Man 3 panel or buying the exclusive Homer Simpson Buddha from the Kidrobot booth. Still didn't get it.

You can admit that you didn't have as much fun because I wasn't there. haha

Oh and Bigwavedave, Sunday at Comic-Con is family day, so there is more stuff geared towards the younger crowd and plenty of families and kids there.

Re: San Diego Comic-Con and Disney

Okay, so I have a question. This basically has nothing to do with the thread topic of comic con 2012, but I am looking forward to 2013 and this is my first stop to get a question answered since I don't have any go to comic con forum sites.

I have yet needed to book a hotel on my own for comic con, but will be doing so for next year. I was hoping to book one early since I tend to stress out when I don't have plans set in stone. Went on today to book a hotel, and basically all of the hotels right around the convention center are not available for the comic con dates next year.

Question: Is this because... 1) everyone else is just way more on top of it than I am and booked before I got to it?! or 2) Do these hotels just hold on to these dates and don't let people book them until a later date?

I know all of these hotels keep a lot of rooms off the booking market because they go to comic con in march to be booked through the comic con site, so yes I realize that means there are fewer rooms to be booked early. Option one is the obvious choice here, but I'm holding on to the hope that I didn't miss out and now either have to book a hotel a little further out or cross my fingers when trying to book through comic con later in 2013.

Is anyone here a comic con vet and give me some insight on this whole situation? THANKS!

Basically they're all locked in and they open on a certain date at the same time next year. It'll be like a lottery to get the hotel you want. Best to stay tuned to the official website to keep tabs on the exact dates.

    It kinda sucks, I know.
