    Out of the loop

Hey everyone. I've been out of the Disney loop for about a year now, and gosh do I miss it! We're planning quite heavily now our next WDW trip for Christmas this year, which is exciting because we have only ever visited in October before. I can't wait to see the decorations and parades which I have only ever seen on the wonderful photo journals I used to read on here and on MiceAge.

Now I was wondering, could anyone summarise what is new to WDW since.. say... October 2006, my last visit? It seems like an age ago. Reading through my old favourite Disney sites and MiceChat has brought all the excitement back, which somehow laid dormant for a year. I think I just got Disney-ed, out, but now I'm back in!

We've booked up for Biergarten on Christmas Day, in the evening, and for the House of Blues in DTD (I still know my fanboy acronyms) for Christmas Eve, how do they sound? Obviously they will be extremely busy, but will they be busy to the point where the atmosphere and service is more... stressful then seasonal?

I can't wait to talk to you guys again, and check out the new faces.

Good list, I would only add the Spaceship Earth refurb / redo.

    Re: Out of the loop

As far as the crowds are concerned, I don't find them too bad. However, STAY AWAY from MK between Christmas and New Years if you can help it (don't know how long your trip is). My family goes to WDW every 3 years for Christmas and we always go to EPCOT for the 25th. This year we arrived at the gate of EPCOT at 9 AM and they were already having everyone entering MK turn around because it had already reached capacity.

EPCOT is getting busier to me as well, but not unbearably so. Maybe its because it is so spread out. And both AK and DHS are bearable too.

Hope this helps. And enjoy your holiday at WDW! It sure is a lot of fun!

This Speedway person... would not happen to be the same one who owes me dinner at WDW?

    Only you would remember!

I'm glad you found your way back to MC!! I'm still looking forward to this visit too Speedway. I think the list is good but I'm not quite sure what else you are looking for. I agree with the busy, busy, busy MK comment. I remember telling you that it will be CRAZY but with all the new decorations and seasonal offerings it will be enjoyable still. You and your family will have lots of fun no matter what you plan to do!

I guess that short lived romance he was busy with is now over... so what's a lonely boy to do in the meantime?
