Can You See The MK Fireworks from ... ?

I should know the answer to this but, can you view the nightly Magic Kingdom Fireworks from Fort Wilderness and if so, where is the best location?
    Thanks

Yes, you can. I think the best place is the area the wagon rides go to for fireworks viewing. When I took photos on the 3rd of July from FW, I was close to the wagon - but far enough to be alone (and I had a great view).

Thanks for the reply and the info nbodyhome.
Unfortunately we have not stayed at FW for a good number of years so I am not as familiar with the layout as I used to be.
I was originally thinking the beach would be a good location but could you tell me exactly where the area is that the wagon rides go?

Yes - you go to the beach from the Pioneer Hall area, and you take a right. I could hear the fireworks from the wagon ride on the night I was there (there is not a fireworks ride every evening, but many). This is all along the beach area, just away from the crowds.

I have watched the fireworks from the beach where the boat launch is, it is a fantastic view and not too crowded. It is just so relaxing to watch fireworks from a one of the hammocks, the atmosphere is so laid back and quite. It is probably my favorite place outside MK to watch the fireworks, the Poly beach would be if didn't tend to be too crowded.

The boat dock area can get really crowded - the last times I've been there, I couldn't have found a chair if I wanted to (not that I needed one, but it was very busy).

I took this photo from the other area (I was not as far down as where the wagon ride goes, the castle is more visible there).

I didn't mean to imply it was empty there. But it is just far less crowded than Poly and a lot more relaxing but yes the few chairs available will be filled.

That is the campground. I was over at WDW today too, though didn't make it over to FW or the WL.

Do they give you any hassle driving into the resorts? We just got on the bus at DTD and that took for freakin ever so we really didn't get to look around much. The resorts are awesome though, and the Mickey Mouse BBQ smelled great! I had a pregnant woman begging to go there...

If you say you want to eat or look around, you'll almost never have a problem. And you can park at FW easily, just go into the parking lot for the Hoop De Doo (no security at all there, only where you are checking in - two different entrances). Yesterday I was going to the Polynesian for many hours, so I parked at the MK parking lot - which is just a walk away. But if I am there for a shorter period of time, I'll end up parking in the Polynesian lot.

Thanks Dan - that is really nice of you! I'd missed the last boat on July 3rd to get to the MK fireworks, but was glad I did. I had a private viewing, I could hear the music being piped in, and have photos that noone else has.

Here were a few more I'd posted from that evening:

those images give an interesting perspective to where the high altitude shots are relative to the rest of the park.. where as when viewing from Main Street they look so much closer. I knew this of course.. but gives great illustration to the point
