    Exclamation Free Dining Plan 2009

I don't know if anybody else has posted this yet - but the Free Disney Dining Plan offer is available to book now until November 08 for holidays starting between August 2nd and Ocotber 3rd!

    There's a few changes though -

"Book five nights or more at a selected Disney Resort for arrivals between 2nd August - 3rd October 2009, and you'll receive free dining for the duration of your stay for everyone in your party.
    - Opt for a Disney Moderate Resort and receive a Disney Quick (Counter) Service Dining Plan for FREE
    - Opt for a Disney Deluxe Resort and receive a Disney Dining Service Plan for FREE
This fantastic offer is only available for bookings made on or before 4th November 2008"

So NO value resorts and low and behold they are using the Quick Service Dining plan for moderate resorts and the normal Dining plan for deluxe resorts.

If you choose to book a moderate you can upgrade to normal dining plan for £112.

If you choose to book a deluxe resort you can upgrade to deluxe dining plan for £446.

Also they are offering a 14 day ultimate pass for the price of a 7 day ultimate pass throughout the WHOLE of 2009 (£169.00).

I know the UK often gets a jump on packages, and perhaps Disney will do a bounceback offer as well.

I'm doing the free dine with friends this year (the third year I've done it), but it looks like it will be the last year for me.

It doesn't seem to be on WDW's website. Is this a UK exclusive?

I must call my travel agent and see...but if it's this far in advance maybe we can afford to go for a moderate resort next year! Although I'm still holding out hope they will do Botcon at Disney next year...

I always thought they did the free dining resi's in April-June though?

I think that may be a deal for folks from the UK/EMEA I don't see it listed in the Domestic (North American) Disney Travel Agent site... I may be mistaken but the Quick service plan was originally available to folks overseas before they offered it to gusts in the US so I'm guessing they are basing this plan on some sort of research they did on the vacation desires of our friends in Europe.

I'll be currious to see if they do the same for the Domestic audience during the traditonal September Free Dining period next year.... But it kinda makes sense in a way since the Value resorts do not have Table service restarants and they want to promote more value in staying at a moderate or deluxe hotel by tiering the meal plan offerings.

Nope, in fact I don't think you could packages are only loaded into the (US) system approximately 400 days in advance. If you wanted to book beyond that you pretty much have to work though a Disney travel agency (like Magical Travel) who can book a room only to hold you spot and then upgrade it to a package once they are available in the system.

Wait a second!?!?!?! Last year in Sept we booked six days... were we eligible for any free dining options. We stayed at Port Orleans FQ. Was the free quick service available then or is this a one time offer for 09?

Depends on when you went. We went from the 13-20th September last year and that was the last days it was avaliable. Plus you have to book during a certain time to get it. I think the time alst year was April-end of May or something.
