A question of profit percentages

I was just wondering if anyone could roughly break down how much of WDW's profits are provided by season ticketholders?

Just curious, and I appreciate any help that anyone could provide.

It is very little. And I don't know anyone who has this number. As ticket sales are one thing that Disney looks at, but they also look at guest spending, as a big factor to why they like(?) season/annual passholders.

I could venture a guess, but it wouldn't be in a discussion forum

I would imagine they like season/annual passholders, just because they've moved from marketing the '4-day play passes' on the radio to 'get your family an annual pass!' on the radio. Of course, if they've worked out that the average annual passholder only comes to Disney 4 times, then it's really more of a schrewd marketing strategy...

Really? So the AP's spend the most money while they're there?

I hadn't realized that the company "liked" the AP's that much. One doesn't necessarily get that impression based on what some AP's have to say about it.

If they truly are a major source of profit, by ticket sales or by spending in the park, I'm honestly surprised.

I am not sure where you are getting major source. I stated minor.

80% of WDW visitors are first time visitors or people who have not visited in the last 5 years, 20% are repeat & annual/seasonal pass holders

THAT'S what I was looking for, thanks!

As for the major/minor snafu....that's what happens when I read and respond before my first cup of coffee in the morning. My bad.
