Now, the Yeti, he has some issues that need to be attended to. The cave mist will probably never return because it was causing E-Stops. Lastly, the bird, who cares about it? It was a cheap looking effect from the beginning.

![]() | i understand that normal wear and tear occurs and that there will always be unforseen issues... but doesn't something like a crack in the foundation of a massive AA seem kind of odd? especially for what is essentially a brand new and state of the art ride? imagineered/engineered by high caliber folks? it strikes me as so surprising that such issues would come up so soon. i know that the mountain, the ride and the yeti are all independent structures, but could the supposed crack in the yeti's foundation make the ride structure itself unsafe? forgive me for not knowing, but who is joe rhode? in any event, MAN do i love that ride. |

1. The foundation is cracked. 2. Stress fractures occurred within the Yeti itself. I trend to believe # 2 is more accurate than #1. Saying that the ride is damaged due to the yeti problems is like saying the roof of your own house is going to collapse because your neighbor's house's support beams are rotted. (if you live in non-connected houses of course) And Joe Rhode is the father of Animal Kingdom.

![]() | Re: Is the Yeti working in E.E.? Rode Everest about 5 days ago and the Yeti is still out of commision. You can hardly see it when you ride thru that cave. I think it's pathetic of Disney. The way things like that are allowed to go into non-working mode at many rides at WDW, I am beginning to believe we'll never see the Yeti in operation again... Of course, I do hope I am wrong and I hope they prove me wrong!

On top of all that, the manager I was speaking with was pretty certain that the fixes would be in place by now. That they are not speaks volumes. Either the problem is bigger than I (or they) thought, or the info was suspect to begin with.

![]() | Re: Is the Yeti working in E.E.? LoL. I'm actually with tdlfan on this one. In my mind, the yeti is the actual star of Animal Kingdom. Yeah, his ride is really fun, but people are going on it to see the yeti! And if he's not working, then management is failing.
