Oh that just made my day. Next time I'm at WDW, I'll make sure I post ahead of time so everyone can make arrangements to come out and meet Wonderpup. We'll do a whole meet & greet... photos, autographs, the works! It would be a riot!
Wow. No one else seemed to care. 71 views but only 2 people posted. No wonder they didn't do anything for the 30th or 35th.
A few tips on getting people interested in a thread:
1) You didn't put any text in your first post, just a video. Many of our users find it difficult to respond to a thread that doesn't ask a question or make a strong statement. So you sort of set this thread up to not really go anywhere. It is always best to have a unique angle or question to ask, that will get the most responses.
2) You followed up with comments that could seem hostile to some. Many people will avoid a thread where the thread starter seems angry. You'll have a happier and healthier thread if you'll promote it by saying positive things to the people who have already posted in the thread, sending links to your thread to your friends, and placing the kind of text and keywords in your first post that will get your thread picked up by the search engines and possibly linked to by other sites.
You can't expect every thread to take off. However, you can make it much more likely by taking the time to build the foundations of a strong thread in the very first post.
