If WDW were to get another Disney hotel, how would you theme it?

What do you think? I'll start off by saying that I would design a Hollywood-inspired hotel with a deluxe rating and a entrance directly into DHS.

How about a Haunted Mansion Hotel?

I'd love a Tower of Terror hotel, that would be awesome.

Re: If WDW were to get another Disney hotel, how would you theme it?

Where to start??? I like the idea of a hotel having direct access to the park, but that has a lot of difficulties involved mostly because of the backstage areas. As an example: the Grand Californian was built at the same time as DCA.

Now back to dreaming, I think that a World showcase hotel or hotels would be really cool. Different themed hotels that could dump right into that country in the park! They could even range from value to deluxe in the hotel range, depending on the country. (With Mexico being the only value resort to go along with he cheap attraction.)

Another cool one would be a Western Town that could empty out into frontier land. With a gate neatly placed beyond the railroad either between SM and BTMRR or just beyond BTMRR with the gate emptying on to the RR platform or going into the park. I believe that Tokyo already has a Western themed resort. Not that I want to delve into the cloning discussion, but it could serve as a nice model of what could be.
A view of the MK on Google Maps shows a large empty area on the north side of Big Thunder Mountain, although that area looks to be effectively seperated from the rest of the park by the Rivers of America. This could be an awesome and fun addition to the Magic Kingdom and if done properly it could blend in seamlessly.

Re: If WDW were to get another Disney hotel, how would you theme it?

Coastierox, I was just gonna suggest a resort that brings people back to the old west. Like an old mining town or something, complete with saloons and other things. I would have it empty out into a theme park, but it would be cool if the place had stagecoach rides that take you to your next stop or maybe have a railroad take you to the nearest transportation hub.

and hehe... as tacky as this is, I want a resort t hemed to Star Wars. I think if they want to make a fortune, strike up a deal with Lucasfilm. The possibilities of how to do this are literally endless.

I'd like them to finish the Legendary Years of Pop Century. Those empty shells sure are depressing.

I would never leave this hotel. Ever.

I'd like an Epcot hotel with different wings of the hotel themed for different countries or continents, so the europe wing would have halls of rooms for france, germany, england, spain, etc and one for asia, oceania, and south america.

They could put the suites inside of AT-AT's!

Not that I know of. Their 3 hotels are themed to 1930's Art Deco, Old World Italian, and Turn of the Century Victorian respectively.

Disneyland Paris is the one that has it. Hotel Cheyenne.

I'd go with the Persian resort that was originally planned back in the 70's.

I stand corrected. I was looking at both of their websites late the other night and it all kind of melted together.
