    WDW Invasion 3 day 3

Bright and early, the MiceChat van for Blingers, piloted by MickeMaxx, arrived at our resort to give us a ride to EPCOT and the starting line for the WDW Gumball Rally.

    Here we go gang

    We entered EPCOT

Quickly the teams began to arrive at the Electric Umbrella. I greeted the players at the door and sent them up to the players circle.

    Inside the Electric Umbrella

    SummerinFL poses for a shot

    The players packets await

    Fishy the Door Greeter

Players arrived: Yo Yo Flamingo, NeverNeverland and Mousercise

Soon the place was crawling with Gumball Rally Players and Dusty explained the rules.

Little did she know they would win first place

The teams were given the location of the finish line, the Tommorowland Noodle Station at the Magic Kingdom, and then they were OFF!

    Good luck!

    Bon Voyageee

    Don't forget to write!

    After the madness

Jason and Byron showed up and the three of us headed straight for Mission Space for the more intense training.

    GOD I LOVE THIS RIDE!

Stay on your number cuz the floor is lava. The rest of the floor is hot lava.

    All Hail the Hairpiece

    inside the training CAP-SOO-UHL

    Outside the vehicles

We then caught up with the rest of the group who were just disembarking from their ride on the Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride.

Dusty and a few of us who worked hard to make the Gumball Rally a great event were treated to lunch at Tu Tu Italiano for all of our hard work. What a wonderful thing to do and what a yummy lunch.

Rixter and Dusty at the entrance of the restaurant

My food. It was a creamy primavera. DELICIOUS

    Our wonderful waiter

Compared to Alfredo's which used to be in the same spot, the food is just as good at Tu Tu Italiano and the staff is just as wonderful. However, Tu Tu Italiano simply does not have the vivacious, lively atmosphere and fun spirit that was trademark to Alfredo's. The restaurant seemed to be devoid of charm and the Italian wit that was so inviting before. If it weren't for the impeccable staff, this would just be another, run of the mill Patina Group restaurant.

Okay it was time to split off from the group for a bit and get back to hanging with Byron and Jason. We said our goodbyes and called the boys, telling them to meet us at the French Pavillion for some pastries.

After a brief detour through the Pearville Fair...

Dusty and the king of pears

    I felt pretty

    We arrived in France.

    Yummy!

Byron (Beamer1227) and Dusty go to get desserts for Jason and I

The man knows me. CREME BRULEE

Us guys in the French Pavillion

What to do after great dessert? Use our imaginations of course!

    Empty queue

    The front row boys

It was then time to return to Test Track with our Fast Passes.

The single rider and Stand-By lines were murder

Test Track had a screw loose

    Good Times!

It was then that Dusty and I wanted to wander aimlessly. We siad goodbye to Jason and Byron and hopped abord the Monorail for a tour of the Grand Floridian.

Dusty performs "Tip toe through the tombstones."

    Nice digs.

    Very Tower of Terror-like.

    We took the stairs

We walked over to the Polynesian and then rode the water transportation system to the Magic Kingdom to make sure to be at the finish line for the teams.

We were a bit early and a bit hungry. We received a call from TDLFan and Anthony. They wanted to hang with us for a bit so we told them to meet us at the Liberty Tree tavern.

There was no space for us at LTT so we wandered over to Pecos Bill's. It was good enough.

You can tell TDLFan is happy with the food

More time to kill so we rode Mansion.

This is still far better than Disneyland's version.

We traveled over into Fantasyland and rode Snow White's Scary Adventures next.

We were stuck in the last show scene for a bit and were complaining about what bad show that is when we were greeted by this lovely lady at the exit.

It began to sprinkle and Dusty and I made our way to the Noodle Station. Kevin Yee was already there.

I won't recap the winner's as that is found in THIS THREAD, but here are a few photos.

A dance off was held for third place

    Second Place

    First place

And then everyone won because Kevin gave away free copies of his books

After the Rally conclusion we all watched the fireworks...

    GADOOOOOOOSH

...took a ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority and then took BC_DisneyGeek on his first ride on Mansion since the refurb.

    The Astro Orbiter

    Into the Mansion

    BC_DisneyGeek in the stretching room

    The Bride

    He said he liked it.

It was now time to go back to the Hotel. It was a fun, successful event for MiceChat and a wonderful day at the parks.

The next day promised to be just as much fun as it was time for the Sip and Nibble around the world tour

    Till then...

    THE END!!!

You need to show some scale on this. That looks like a creme brulee the size of a dinner plate. It can't be that big. Can it?

It might be worth the trip just for a dinner plate sized creme brulee.

    WDW INVASION 3 Day 4

It was time for the Sip and Nibble around the world tour and all were excited!

The MiceChat express picked us up again, but this time, with SummerinFL in tow.

    Seatmates

We got the the Electric Umbrella at 10:30am and soon RIxter distributed the wonderful Sip and Nibble around the World Lanyards and shot glasses for sharing that he made at his own expense. The rules for the tour were simple. All participants had to take one bite and one sip from every Food and WIne Festival booth around the lagoon. 26 in all. The burden of buying the items is left up to each person, but there was plenty of sharing and distribution of cost so it doesn't get crazy expensive.

    Electric Umbrella

Our tour group decided to visit the visitors center in the old Wonders of Life Pavillion to get oriented for the day.

Really Disney? Your that cheap? You can't take down the sign?

    Pre-pay cards. GREAT IDEA!

    Pickin up the prepaid

    The cool couple

Leaving the WOLP we started our Sip and Nibble tour clockwise around the Lagoon starting at Mexico and working around to the very last booth.

The following is simply a pictorial of the tour which took us about 5 and a half hours to complete.

    Cheers to you Rixter!

CHEERS to Sip and Nibble 08!

Giggly MonorailMan at the Italy booth

We stopped in Norway for a cool boat ride.

    China booth... SOO GOOOOOOOD!

okay so funny story time. DoomBGI and I were thirsty for some tea, We go to the counter serve restaurant in China. China, tea, it made sense. Ironically they didn't have any. Okay so we ordered diet cokes. Good enough.

But in preparing our sodas the cute little CM girl filled our cups with ice, soda, jabbed a swizzle stick straw into our sodas, and the popped the lid on them and gave them to us.

    Inserting the swizzle straw

    LOLOL

Jason and Beamer1227 enjoying the nibbles

The draw bridge near China went up. I had never seen this. NEAT!

Armidillo4 said goodbye for now, and would see us later at the dessert party

We made a new friend. Anita. LOVED her hat.

Cheers for a wonderful tour! Thanks Rixter!

With a cheer and a hearty thanks to Rixter for all of his planning and hard work we all completed the tour at the Puerto Rico booth.

At this point the group split up to do their own things until the private Dessert party in China. Dusty, BC-DisneyGeek, Byron, Jason, MickeyMaxx, Rixter and I went off to ride Spaceship Earth and The Sea, with Nemo and friends and Spaceship Earth.

    Next stop, Spaceship Earth
