Re: College Program

As an aside, I had a friend who got in trouble for posting stuff in the wdwmagic board. He didn't get fired but he did get a reprimand and lost the ability to transfer locations.

I know that anybody who really wants to figure out who I am could but I'm trying to keep a lower profile not that I will be a manager.

I have. It can be in a store, or it can be outside at a cart, or it could be selling glow merchandise during a parade. It's fun. I enjoyed it a lot.

Re: College Program

I worked at Port Orleans: Riverside in the spring 2005 semester. I lived in Chatham Square with 5 other girls. Every room had it's own bathroom and it was 2 girls per room. I had great room mates (except maybe one). I worked in quick service food and beverage. Liked my job and coworkers but had problems with one of the managers. I warn everyone who goes there about him he was not an easy person to work with and I was not the only one that had problems with him. Other than that it was a great experience which I wouldn't give up for the world.

Re: College Program

As I am not getting an answer to this question in another forum, perhaps someone over here can answer it for me.

I have found a YouTube clip that has the preamble about some people at a graduation ceremony in becoming "Emerging Leaders" at Disneyland Anaheim. Is it some CP or post-CP course/program in any way? Just curious because, even though I am planning to come to America to continue my studies, I do plan to get myself apply to the CP in a couple of years.

In fact, BigPigletFan, your posts here and this whole thread is what made me want to become a member of the MiceChat.com forum. Even though I am currently living in Canada, I do have legal American citizenship and everything that comes with it because I was born a New Yorker. Unfortunately, I am a late bloomer and my circumstances does not allow me to come on down at this time. I hope that you can help me about the advantages of participating in the CP, no matter how old one is, like me.

Well, the Graduation at Walt Disney World is a bit more relaxed that this one appears to be. It is simply called Graduation and it's held at Mickey's Retreat (the cast resort area that is located across from Chatham Square.) The characters are there dressed up in graduation outfits, you get your graduation ears, certificate of completion, food, and get to have fun.

I was a Merchandise CP'er in fall of 1993. (Yeah, I'm old. ) I was stationed at the Emporium on Main Street. Yes, it's pretty much just working in the shop, but I also did some crowd control for the parades and such. However, it was a LOT of fun, and I have fond memories of those four months.

I know that some CPs did and really enjoyed it. I also heard that working at the Muppet Stage 1 Company Store because of the fun music.

I did. I picked up PAC (Parade Audience Control) shifts working the MK parades, I picked up Fantasmic! shifts (so much fun), and I picked up glow/squeeze breeze shifts (selling the stuff on the carts during the MK day parade and Spectro).
