Crowds? Are there or aren't there?

So we leave for WDW Jan 10th and I was just wondering what the crowds were like. I just made our ADR's yesterday and got everything we wanted except for Le Celier! I am hoping that's a sign that the parks are not so crowded! Any know what it's been like that last couple days!?

Friday was very, VERY crowded (more crowded than the day after Xmas)

But, I suspect things drop down today. More of the Xmas/New Years people probably left yesterday or today since school starts tomorrow.

Anyway...I think you will be fine.

Most schools start back from winter holidays tomorrow, so the crowds should go down some as all the tourists have left by today at the latest to go home.

Look at Touringplans.com. The site is operated by the guys who write The Unofficial Guide to WDW. The information is highly accurate and will give you an excellent idea of what to expect crowd wise.

At the bottom of the page, it will tell you what the numbers translate into wait time wise at the different parks.

I will be at EPCOT tomorrow and am not expecting crowds at all.. I believe the parks start closing a bit earlier from Monday on. The holiday crunch is over. Rest assured you will have lesser crowds to deal with.

I leave Thursday for the marathon. I'm not sure what impact that will have on the parks but just a heads up if you didn't know it's happening during your vacation.

The marathon takes place mostly before the parks even open, so I wouldn't expect it to be that bad.

I love this site, it's largely accurate.

We were there last Saturday, the end of the New Years crunch and it was probably a level 6 out of 10. Since everyone has gone home you should have really light crowds.

    Have fun!

The marathon fills the resorts, and it will have an effect on the parks.

I was in the MK today, and it wasn't bad at all. Moderate. I walked through the Contemporary and it felt empty.

Re: Crowds? Are there or aren't there?

As an added update, I did go to EPCOT today and while it was a bit crowded in the noon hours, the lines were short at most rides (except Soarin' -thanks to the backups by fastpass). I do not think anyone should worry about crowds in the coming days or weeks.
