The Animated Heads - Controls hidden or not?

By now we all know that the controls for the animated character heads are in the hands. One hand controls blinking, the other controls the mouth. When they debuted, the CM had to "snap" their fingers in order to do either action.

I recently found this video of Timon's new animated head from DAK's Festival of the Lion King. Take a look.

See that? No snapping. In fact, all of his fingers are static.

So which do you MiceChatters prefer? The controls where creative CMs can use the snapping action in their performance or come up with clever ways to hide it? OR the hidden controls at the sacrifice of not being able to point?

No. The characters control it themselves.

Yeah. I have a video from Attraction Magazine's website when they had it up of the Christmas lighting celebration at the castle, and the CM playing Donald missed his sync at one point.

Minnie probably has the biggest advantage to the "snapping" controls since she could hide the controls simply by placing her hands in the default "princess" gesture.
