Does the new Stitch show mean the end of Stitch's Great Escape?

In case you don't know, the new show's called Stitch's Supersonic Celebration. Typically Disney has a rule of no character appearing twice at the same time in any park. So it seems unlikely that WDI would allow a guest watch Stitch host a dance show in Tomorrowland, only for that same guest watch Stitch break out of prison moments later in the same land. And we all know Stitch's Great Escape hasn't exactly fulfilled guest expectations. So what do you think? Is SSC the demise of SGE?

One can only dream right?

However I think the rule is that they can't be seen at the same time. They can be seen at separate parts of the park all the time.

This is true, and I believe it only applies to walk around charactres, not attraction ones. Peter Pan is in two different attractions right next to each other right? And yet we have him walking around and in the afternoon parade too.

Personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this means Stitch will escape permanently. Nothing against Stitch. He's still one of my favorite characters, but the attraction just stinks.

I don't think they would change an attraction so soon after its debut...I would expect at least another five years...before being replaced with whatever the latest Pixar product is.

Does the new Stitch show mean the end of Stitch's Great Escape?

We couldn't be that lucky! It's bad enough they ruined one attraction with a Stitch overlay. Now they are subjecting us to twice the amount of the hideous character.
Flame me all you like. I just hate Stitch.

I like Stitch the character, but I honestly don't think he's got enough clout to hold a show AND an attraction.

Pixar isn't so bad, I think a Wall E attraction in that same spot would be awesome, as long as they do it right of course.

While myself and plenty of other people would love it if SGE went bye-bye for good, chances are it's likely going to stay even with the show.

Though the show itself could have a little trouble already, especially if people just got off the attraction with a bad taste in their mouth.

Myself I actually don't mind the character of Stitch, SGE on the other hand...I could tell it would be a disaster just by looking at the concept art.

If they keep it, then that's a lot of Stitch for one little land ... an outdoor show, a gift shop, and, well, whatever you wanna call SGE.

Re: Does the new Stitch show mean the end of Stitch's Great Escape?

Since our space program has supposedly set a new goal of going to Mars, they should just update Mission to Mars. But I guess that concept's already been taken by EPCOT and Mission:Space. But when you get down to the bottom line, anything, ANYTHING would be better than Stitch's Great Escape.
